I would like to be good at Gears of War, but I am only a bit above average, with a positive K/D and usually being within the top five players in most matches. I use to be pretty damn good at Halo 3 back when it came out.
I would never consider myself a pro at anything though, except maybe hoarding in Fallout games.
Word, the skill gaps in shooters aren't actually that big for the most part, though. The difference between the best players and the average players is noticeable but it isn't so 'in your face' like other games. Plus, with just how many people there are that usually play shooters, it's harder to define the best players in the world unless there's a good deal of tournaments being hosted.

Wondering if anyone is ridiculously good at any specific game or game. Now I don't mean like 'pretty good' or 'above average'. I'm talking about top tier player status. And have you ever made any montages or videos of you playing said game or games? Or maybe you have a friend who's ridiculously good and they've made some vids. Personally I've never been any better than just above average at shooters, but I'm very good at old Tony Hawk games. I've maxed out the score for the game with a single legit combo before on American Wasteland. (FTR that's 2.147 billion in a single combo) I can also do crazy shit like this: (Which it's probably hard to gauge just how difficult it really is to pull a lot of this off if you haven't tried yourself or don't understand what's going on, but eh, whatever.)
