The Flood / Re: Many nameplates, not so many members.
« on: August 19, 2014, 10:58:00 PM »
Nameplates aside, keep recruiting more members.

As for the plates themselves. It'd be nice for  you guys to have a larger selection to choose from. Kind of like how avatars work on B.net. So long as Cheat is willing to add more.

In the end, how many are available is up to him.

Would a plate that just says "deal with it" suffice?
I'm guessing nameplates for individual users is going to become problematic after a while.

Not if Cheat plans on making them a perk for high ranking members.

It's not something I take every day, and I have no plans to build a resistance to it.

I guess. . . Still though. . . just one. .

Must have been a perc 10.

Mods having their own nameplate is a nice touch, I think. Kind of like Bnet and custom avatars.

WOOOOORD!!

Because I'm wondering what it is you guys consider an offense out of curiosity. I don't really care all that much, I'm just wondering what the rules are. I don't see why you think there's some sort of sinister ulterior motive.

If you think I'm angry because I said "you're acting like a little bitch", that's just how I talk and I didn't mean offense by it either.
Well it's a good thing I've very hard to offend.

tbh, I don't know what motive you might've had. Honestly, I was simply curious as to why you kept asking about rules when I had already explained it. Shit, I even quoted the actual rule itself.

I mean, it was right there. Plain as day. Was just peculiar that you went on about it after that.

I dislike how they sometimes restrict the residents who a part of it from doing certain things, such as working on vehicles at their house. You can also not just decide to leave, the property is part of the association.

I feel your disdain. Some kids or something knocked over our trashbin years ago while everyone was away, and some fuckin' HOA nut job complained to the city and they threatened to fine us a thousand dollars.

One thousand fucking dollars for some trash.

Bunch of uptight assholes.

So, I'm either stupid or trolling according to you? It can't be that I'm wondering what exactly constitutes as an attack seeing how it seems to be anything goes as long as you don't exactly insult somebody?

Why are you acting like a little bitch about this? Because I think Kiyo is a bad mod? Because I'm confused about a rule that isn't black and white?

It's a song being used to single out a user. If that isn't against the rules, then I didn't know. But if it is in certain instances, and it depends on the song, then you need to clarify that.
You can claim I'm acting like a bitch, I don't really care. I'm genuinely just wondering why you need so much clarity, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. I believe you have the capacity to understand, which is why it seems like you have some other motive for questioning how the rules work. What that could be is anyone's guess. You don't have to get so angry. This is an internet forum after all.

You go around attacking members yourself, then when a mod makes a harmless joke you fly off the handle and get on their case for supposedly doing the same thing you do. It's simply a bit ridiculous.

It's quite obvious that Kiyo's post was hardly offensive.

It's a thread "attacking" Sentra. Had somebody else made it they would've gotten a warning.

Who cares if I break that rule? I've been banned for it, why isn't Kiyo banned? That's the point. That, or you guys need to clarify what "singling out another user" really is and what does or doesn't cross the line.
Why would I warn someone for posting a Bob Marley song?

Cheat clearly stated that personal attacks are against the rules. Maybe you have some ridiculously wide-open definition of what an 'attack' is but I don't consider the OP to be one.

If Kiyo had said, "Go drink arsenic water you [generic autism insult]," then shit would be different.

Please, tell me you're just leading me on and aren't actually this dense about the rules.

You can only get in via invite.

It's fucking dead and boring, anyway.

The invite only policy is definitely the reason for it's slow paced activity. Although, it does mean that there's hardly any shitposting.

Just leave already holy fuck you are not wanted here. You act like you're fucking five as if you're somehow defeating me in some kind of argument and embarrassing me. Oh no you've embarrassed me with your top notch insults! What am I going to do?

You don't like me now? Well maybe you shouldn't have started shit. Fuck off, no one here is your friend.

Why are you acting so phased? This is the internet. after all.

This actually is singling out a specific user. Being passive aggressive doesn't make it any more acceptable.

Kiyo once more displaying how shitty a mod she/he/whatever is.

Also, it's supposed to be Bobby McFerrin.

I don't ever recall Cheat prohibiting singling out a user. He specified personal attacks as off limits, but nothing of the sort the OP is displaying.

Shit people, if you're going to refute someone's actions then at least make sure you understand how things work.

As a matter of fact:

Quote
No personal attacks
This means you can't harass another member, and it applies even if you attempt to justify an insult. Posting "You're a bitch because..." doesn't exempt you from the rules. Don't do it.

I've seen you, and well as numerous others break this rule on multiple occasions. And you're all still here. . . imagine that.

The Flood / Re: "Real" music
« on: August 17, 2014, 06:12:49 PM »
Electronic music is easy to make though.

That depends on what kind of music you're creating. Manual synthesizers are NOT simple instruments.

Not all 'electronic' music is created with nothing but programed beats and melodies on a computer.

This for example, was done with synths, 20 years ago before you could just download programs to make music for you. Even though it's 'electronic,' dudes still had to actually play instruments to create the song.
