The Flood / Re: I have kidney stones
« on: March 09, 2019, 04:18:57 PM »
Ah, I only drink water. Absolutely nothing else, so I'm not likely to get kidney stones any time soon.

I have shingles right now though and can hardly stand up, much less walk, so I can relate being in terrible pain.

The Flood / Re: Reminder all gays are closeted child molesters
« on: March 02, 2019, 11:05:03 PM »
Dustin then proceeded to go absolutely ape-shit and demanded I apologize for such an offensive comment and that I was the reason gay rights were progressing as slowly as they were.

Like dude, get fucking real, I said that wasn't my belief. Whatever, he's gone now. Good riddance.
I see this a lot nowadays, where you can't even discuss bigoted or hateful beliefs without being accused of holding those beliefs yourself, even if you explicitly state that you don't. I know Hanlon's razor says to not attribute to malice things that can be explained by stupidity/incompetence, but some of these people have to know what they're doing, and are doing it will ill intent. They can't all be that stupid, can they?

Serious / Re: Some key statements from Michael Cohen
« on: February 28, 2019, 10:21:46 PM »
Wasn't there a report a few weeks back saying the investigation was pretty much over and that there was no good evidence of collusion?
I mean Cohen definitively stated he did not know for sure of any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. I think this was more about him testifying against Trump for general corruption within his campaign and not for directly colluding with Russia.

Well since I'm battling a health condition preventing me from working, I can't afford even a small (less than $100) unforeseen expense.

They still don't have to register for the draft....
It's possible this might change here in the US. A federal court in Texas ruled in favor of a men's rights activist group who challenged women's exemption from the draft.

But is the DNC gonna steamroll him again I wonder? Establishment democrats don't seem to be very fond of Bernie.

I haven't been paying too much attention to all the candidates, but I was feeling what I saw of Tulsi Gabbard's platform. I'll have to check out more, though, as I'm not very familiar with her. I'm also not really one to just trust any politician to make good on what they promise.

Well my favorite Band Ozric Tentacles is basically psychedelic/space rock mixed with ambient and world music.

Do you have narcolepsy or something?
I was high as shit and zoned out, I went down there during my peak high and that was such a mistake.

But yeah I just now went downstairs and played fallout for an hour, and I feel so much better now. I got lucky and I'm going to learn from this.
I've been high as shit, tripping absolute balls, on the brink of ego death, and hammered to the point of projectile vomiting and I've never once actually blacked out or lost motor function. In fact, the only experience I have at all with suddenly losing consciousness besides regular sleep is going under for surgery.

Why does everyone get knocked out by drugs? Why am I always so mentally wired and extra-conscious?

Damn, I need to go reflect on these questions.

The Flood / Re: Addicted to my phone
« on: January 26, 2019, 11:00:59 PM »
I'm addicted to the internet but not my smartphone. I only really use social media for art. Can't say I would know what to do to break that kind of an addiction since I was never really into phones. Maybe get an old flip-phone. I know some people have done it to get away from the smartphone addiction and it has worked for them.

Serious / Re: Just fuck my Brexit up
« on: January 22, 2019, 05:18:03 PM »
I'm not in the know on Brexit, but I thought the entire point of it was to gain independence from EU law. What is the point of "leaving" if the deal you make is just going to keep the country subject to it?

The Flood / Re: any other 8-5 office workers here?
« on: January 17, 2019, 10:54:16 PM »
I'm not sure I got the position yet, but when tf did it become 8-5, I thought it was always 9-5.  When did it get jewed?
People often get an hour for lunch so 8-5 minus lunch hour = 8 hours a day.

The Flood / Re: Spiderman Far From Home Trailer
« on: January 17, 2019, 06:54:56 PM »
this trailer basically confirms that the endgame of Endgame will make it so that the snap never happened
I've pretty much been expecting this to be the case, anyways. The stakes for me are whether older Avengers like Ironman or Captain America will survive or will they sacrifice themselves to reverse the snap.

I'm not really a fan of second referendums as a matter of principle, but this was still pretty hilarious.

I'm glad they hired Marty O'Donnell as well
his new score sounds like a true classic

The Flood / Re: What do we think of Gillettes new ad
« on: January 15, 2019, 10:51:59 PM »
It's definitely preachy, though It's not really offensive to me. At most it's an eye-roller, as I don't really trust giant corporations to actually care about these things, and I feel like they're just trying to pander.

I can definitely say I'm not a fan of everything under the sun becoming politicized nowadays.
