GTA would not be number 1 if modders hadn't been giving me tons of money.

I wish I could know how many hours I've spent playing THUG Pro, I imagine it could be over 10000.

I definitely prefer Steam and consider it a superior platform, but even if Epic's launcher was just as good, I still really dislike third party devs making games exclusive.

A perfect example is Bloodborne. I love the Souls series and I'd love to try Bloodborne as well, but I don't own a PS4 and so it's not an option for me. Destiny was another good example. Xbox players payed the same price as PS4 players and yet received a version of the game with significantly less content; in a game with too little content at launch to begin with.

I detest these types of things in gaming.

Did another random head sketch and ended up turning it into San from Princess Mononoke. The headband is wonky, not all that satisfied with it but whatever.

Editing this cause I completely forgot to sketch the earring like a ditz. Sucks that I already posted it to Instagram without it.

Is it Epic Store exclusive? Because that's what I see on borderlands website.

I hope it's an April fools joke
From what I'm hearing it looks like it will be, which is really disappointing. I really can't stand third party developers doing exclusive deals with platforms.

Word, the design of the characters isn't amazing or anything. I was never huge on the vanilla character designs from 2 either, aside from Zero, though none of them were bad or anything. Hopefully they'll still have interesting and fun abilities and play styles, and maybe skins and heads can make them a bit less boring.

Gaming / Borderlands 3
« on: March 31, 2019, 11:12:34 PM »
So it was announced a few days ago finally. This is probably the only upcoming game that I have any degree of hype for. I haven't felt any sort of anticipation for a game since Dark Souls 3. I just hope they release it on Steam. I'm not really a fan of having to use multiple different game launchers.

I've heard people complain that it looks more like a BL2 DLC, that the graphics aren't really improved much at all, but honestly I think the graphics are perfect and I don't really care to have much more than an updated BL2 experience with new characters, guns, and a new campaign.

Edit, whoops can Flee or Cheat move this shit to gaming, idk why I thought I was still in that forum when I posted smh.

So I actually tried this out with a friend as I haven't played any battle royale games really, and while it's not a bad game at all, I pretty much confirmed that battle royales are not really my thing.

I'm just an arena shooter type of guy. Sad that there aren't too many being released this generation and into the foreseeable future.

Sleep or lots of distractions. Sleep will only work if it's daytime, however. If I'm stressed at night then it will always come with terrible insomnia.

I've thought for years that I should give meditation a shot again but I'm a horrible procrastinator and all I can seem to manage is wasting time.

So some MEPs apparently accidentally voted the wrong way. Enough to have changed the outcome to have the two articles in question removed, I hear. Are politicians/bureaucrats really this inept or are these guys just doing some kind of damage control and trying to distance themselves from something so negatively viewed by the public? smh

my second CAT scan has been pushed back two months, which pisses me off a little,
This is one of the most frustrating things about going to a doctor. Especially when you have something concerning you on a daily basis. I've had to wait countless months in between visits and it seems like a complete waste of money paying for the insurance.

I had bought a few games I never played or finished like Prey, Doom, Shadow of Mordor, among others, but I don't really plan on playing through or finishing them any time soon. I haven't been as into gaming as I used to be the past few years.

From my understanding the alt-right is defined as being white nationalist by organizations like the ADL and SPLC. If Bannon associated himself with the alt-right then so be it. It just seems so vague as a term to me that it's lost most of its practicality and usefulness in describing people on the right. When you have Jews being labeled as allies to Jew haters, something is amiss in my eyes.

Well for where I live, and the innumerable conservatives that surround me, Ben Shapiro is pretty "run-of-the-mill."

leadership figures within the alt right like Bannon
Bannon is right wing, but is he a white nationalist though? As far as I know, the alt right is defined as being a white identitarian movement.

I see the term alt right thrown around constantly to refer to anyone controversial or prominent on the right, even people like Ben Shapiro who is Jewish and hated by the alt-right. I don't understand how so many people can just casually label various run-of-the-mill conservatives as being white supremacist.

People need to recognize that it's very important to at least try to have a dialogue with the other side, and to advocate for that. It's not going to be easy and I don't think anyone is expecting it to be. But this increasingly pervasive attitude within our society/culture that the other side isn't just wrong but is actually evil, beyond reasoning or redemption, and that discourse with them is somehow a bad thing is just an absolutely abhorrent idea, in my eyes, and a serious threat to society as a whole.

Sorry, but I just don't believe PewDiePie fosters racist or sexist ideas. I don't know what this vile community you're talking about is, I haven't seen it. The "community" I have seen, his fanbase, is full of a very diverse range of people. The guy has nearly 90 million subscribers, and you are bound to have virtually every type of person within that many people, good or bad. PewDiePie has made some mistakes, but it's pretty obvious to me that he doesn't advocate for racist or sexist ideas and I'm not going to hold him responsible for what fringe wackos do or say in his name when he doesn't condone it and has no control over these people. Some people might say he shouldn't be edgy when he has such a large subscriber base, but I don't believe his right to be edgy should be forfeit because of that.

What is bothering me is not that people are using this time to discuss issues. What is bothering me is that so many people are not discussing the issues with their opposition. They are receding further into their echo chambers, surrounding themselves with people that only agree with them, and arguing among themselves about how evil the other side is.

This is playing right into what the shooter wanted. It has been this way for a while and progressively it has gotten worse, but not even an event like this will make people take a step back and say, "maybe we shouldn't just continue to sow the seeds of division, especially when we're fulfilling a psychopathic terrorist's fantasy and doing exactly what he planned for us to do."

I'm not really looking to get into a discussion about how PewDiePie is a gateway to radicalization, right now. It's not something I believe at all, especially considering my perspective on what a "gateway" is. I look at what a person's core values and principles are and so long as it is obvious to me that they do not follow any particular ideology then I will not associate them with that ideology.

Obviously this was a horrible tragedy, and I can't even imagine how all the people affected are feeling right now.

Aside from that, however, something that really bothers me is that apparently this guy's ultimate goal was to exacerbate the division in the current culture war and create more division and hatred between the two sides. From what I've heard, his manifesto talked about working towards the balkanization of society, causing non-identitarians to begin taking sides with identitarian movements, ultimately leading to a race war.

Now people are pointing fingers at each other and using this tragedy as a tool to attack their political opposition (as they do with virtually any high-profile news event, terrorism or not), and they're giving the shooter the exact thing he wanted.

The Flood / Re: Abuse of Rights clauses, yes or no?
« on: March 15, 2019, 08:20:37 PM »
Out of curiosity, how would you apply this to:

- a politician campaigning for Muslims to not be allowed to pray or have mosques?
- an author releasing a book arguing that black people are subhumans who shouldn't be allowed to vote, that the holocaust never happened and that jews are a danger to freedom who should be treated as such?
- an influencer or media personality organizing marches for the preservation of the supremacy of the white race and against the muddying of the ethnicities of our representatives in the government?
- a vlogger or content creator calling on his thousands of followers to not respect minorities (say transgenders) and work against them wherever they can (by not hiring them, deliberately misgendering, making up complaints about coworkers...)
The first and the last examples are the two I would be more inclined to believe legal action can be taken against, as they are both actively pursuing or inciting others to pursue the infringement of other's rights. In the last example, lying about someone (specifically making false statements of fact) to damage their reputation or standing is libel/defamation so it would definitely be within the bounds of the law to prevent/persecute.

The middle two examples are only an expression of ideology and thus people have the right to do either of them. Although, as a private company, I think a publisher has the right to refuse to publish any book on the basis of the content within that book.

The Flood / Re: Abuse of Rights clauses, yes or no?

Yeah I'm pretty much of the belief that anyone should be allowed to exercise their rights as long as they aren't infringing upon another person's rights.
Do you think that extends to speech as well?
I think people even have the right to express that other people shouldn't have certain rights, as long as they aren't inciting violence. (things like saying, "these people shouldn't be allowed to vote or to own property." "these people shouldn't be allowed due process.")  The line for me is drawn where expressing their opinion turns into actually encouraging people to go and infringe upon other's rights.

What I am unsure about is people shouting down others. If someone is speaking in a public space and others come to disrupt their speech and prevent them from being heard, I feel like they technically have a legal right to do that as long as they are just "speaking" themselves, but I think our culture shouldn't promote that kind of behavior. People should protest as much as they want to, but let the person you're protesting say what they're going to say, especially if other people want to hear it.

I really just want Ironman to be the one to land the final blow and end the villain, whether or not he ends up sacrificing himself in the process. He and Doctor Strange are definitely my favorites of all the heros as they're just regular humans who managed to attain power through their own respective means and hold their own against a superior being like Thanos with the gauntlet.

At the very least, I'm going to be extremely disappointed if Captain Marvel just swoops in and saves the day entirely since she's supposed to be the strongest now. I don't expect that would happen, so hopefully I'm right.
