This isn't realism, it's naivety.

If I feel like shit, a lot of the time I'll just sit in my bed with headphones on for hours.

When can I get green name text?
Ask that a thousand more times or so and we'll talk about your customization options...

But colored text is sort of out.
It would seem I am not deep enough into the circle.

Tbh, I hardly find images like JTK offensive and I don't much understand the irrational fear of them. If it was my board I probably wouldn't even prohibit single instances of them.

But it's true that the staff has decided that shock images are off limits, and that those types of images can considered shock images. I've already brought this issue up to the staff and trying to get them to decide on whether or not we will treat them as shock images.

I'm afraid to see how much I could drink, considering my dad was an alcoholic.......
One time of testing your limits isn't going to turn you into an alcoholic. In fact it'll probably turn you off of alcohol for a while after.

Considering my attitudes towards getting drunk, I probably won't even get close >.>
Yeah I figured as much. Just letting you know that your fear is slightly irrational.

Yes, but that fear will keep me from going too far.
It's w/e. You don't have to be afraid though. You just have to be responsible.

I actually abused DPH once, got the idea from visiting Erowid when I didn't where to get good shit. . .never again, not pleasant at all. Think waking fever dream but clear as day, drowsy but wide awake, super hangover next morning.
Ugh, taking too many deliriants. . . I don't even want to think about it. Should have just went for DXM if you wanted to try something.

The Flood / Re: What do you think is the meaning of life?
« on: January 15, 2015, 11:28:30 PM »
We could also argue whether karma is an actual real thing, but I don't think that would actually go anywhere.
Karma is a real thing. It's also called 'action and reaction.' The idea that karma is some mystical supernatural force that dishes out punishment for bad deeds is just a misconception of the original meaning behind the concept.
i just call it newton's third law

there's no reason to have the mystic buddhist-ass mumbo jumbo in there if what we have works just fine
It wasn't "mystic mumbo jumbo." It was just a concept that developed by observing the interdependent nature of things and it was called karma. There was no newton's third law thousands of years ago in south east asia to take its place.
Have you read a book relating how science and eastern philosophies have similar conceptualizations of realities through different means? It's called the "Tao of Physics."
Nah. Sounds pretty interesting though.

so precisely when did this misconception arise
Shit I don't know exactly. Most likely when people began introducing eastern philosophy to western society.

The exact meaning of the concept various between different areas of Hinduism and Buddhism, some having it closely tied with the idea of reincarnation (which is, of course, debatable) but the basic premise of actions influencing the world around you which in turn has an effect on you and your future is essentially the same.

I don't frequent it but I do go on there and read trip reports at times. Some of the Salvia ones are nuts.
The LSD ones are pretty great which is kind of expected since it's LSD
I'm sure they're very vivid, but I'm particularly fascinated by the ones that feature ego loss. Something that isn't as easy to come by on LSD as maybe Salvia or DMT since people like to overprice average potency hits of the stuff.

Eh, nihilist, so...
well that's just dumb
Every action you do is inconsequential.
That is true in the context of the grand scheme of things (at least regarding importance and not influence), but not exactly in the context of relativity. There's a whole lot of importance and meaning floating around the realm of subjectivity and recognizing its existence helps in establishing your own. You don't have to, but it can make life more interesting and give you motivation and purpose.
