You couldn't recognize a Chili Peppers song? They have such a distinct sound, though.

Gaming / Re: PlayStation forums shutting down on Dec 26th.
« on: February 26, 2020, 08:21:27 PM »
Alright here's the plan
We flood the forums in its last days advertising Sep7agon
They all rush over here after their forum dies
We get another good 5 years out of this place
Anything to spice up this dusty crypt I'm down for.

Also, why are they shutting them down anyways? Do they not view the forums as necessary anymore? Because it seems like a major console would want to have a place for the community to have discussion. Are they just going to rely on Reddit now?

Horses are more eco-friendly than cars because they don't emit fossil fuels.
If your vehicle is emitting the fuel then you need to see a mechanic.

You don't like invasions, but what is your opinion on PvP in general? Like duels or the arena?

The scary thing about it isn’t even the virus, it’s just the fact it’s happening in China of all places, where the population is high and the secrecy is higher. The numbers we’ve been fed about the infection rate and death toll are likely much lower than the real number. Who the fuck quarantined off a city of 11 million after 100 deaths, an action even WHO was surprised by? A government that is lying through their teeth about how many are dead.

There’s also the fact that police suppressed a doctor who discovered the virus from talking about it and then he ended up dead from it like 2 weeks ago. That’s Soviet Union tier secrecy right there. From Hong Kong to this situation, I wouldn’t be surprised if a nationwide uprising happens within the next few years, I’d watch the news reports with popcorn knowing the government officials are getting pitchforks jammed up their ass.
The CCP is so concerned about the image of China, especially to protect the stability of its economy, that there is no telling how far they will go in oppressing their own people to prevent the rest of the world from severing its reliance and contact with them. They already don't exactly have a good track record when it comes to human rights. I could definitely see some sort of uprising against the Chinese state eventually resulting from this, especially if their economy does crash.

Are you a vegan?
Does it matter?
Well animals don't consent to being slaughtered for food so I'm asking you.

Looks cool. Too bad it's a PS exclusive. Creative tools like that work really well on PC.

I guess it's trying to bring that sort of developer experience from PC to console, though.

The more you post the more I’m convinced you’re a self learning AI that took too many wrong turns on the Internet
Hmm, is this why SecondClass got so upset about Microsoft killing their teen girl AI experiment, Tay?

This is a floofy cat.

So far 2020 has been rough for me, health wise. Seems like even numbered years are worse for me smh.  Hopefully that doesn't turn out to be true.

I only played five games throughout all of 2019. Destiny 2, Halo MCC, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, KOTOR, and THUG Pro

No idea how many hours spend playing but it wasn't nearly as many as I used to spend.

I haven't seen it yet. Probably wont until after the home release. My dad saw it and said the pacing was totally off. If what I heard about so many scenes being cut is true then that would make sense I guess. He's pretty pissed that they basically scrapped everything they filmed with Hayden Christensen, Ewan Macgregor etc. but still enjoyed a lot of what was there. I'm pretty disappointed about the cuts as well. I don't care if the movie would've been around 3 hours, I think it should've been tbh. They had so many loose ends to tie up.

I still love all three but 2 is my least favorite. The combat definitely feels very slow, especially after playing a lot of DKS3 which pretty much goes in the complete opposite direction.

The Flood / Re: I checked myself into a mental hospital
« on: December 22, 2019, 04:28:41 PM »
Yep. Before insurance, the 4 day stay was $5,000. That's not including ER, either ambulance, doctor, bloodwork, etc.
This is why I hesitate to visit the hospital. The cost of medical care in the US is astronomical. I had a seizure a couple of months ago most likely due to an electrolyte imbalance and it cost over 5K even though I only stayed a couple of hours. I think the ambulance ride alone was probably 3K. And I didn't have insurance at the time so it's all on me to pay.

It's such an awful thing to do for people with mental illness. Slap someone with a bill for thousands, that surely won't make them any more suicidal than they already are.

Also, ayy finally hit mythic. Only took 5 and a half years.

The Flood / Re: Has anyone ever composed their own music?
« on: December 19, 2019, 04:30:39 PM »
On the subject of this thread though, I've only ever played around in Fruity Loops studio and made some crappy little beats/songs. I really regret not learning to play any instrument because I definitely think I have a mind for creating music. (Probably developed from growing up around my dad who's a bassist that played Jazz, Flamenco, and Metal.)

The Flood / Re: Has anyone ever composed their own music?
« on: December 19, 2019, 04:28:44 PM »
Well I can at least understand that perspective.

From a very young age I've always had an extremely strong desire to create, and visual art just happened to be the medium I gravitated to more than anything. I definitely feel like you can tell a story or convey a message through art forms other than writing. They just leave a lot more room for subjective interpretation, I would say.

The Flood / Re: Has anyone ever composed their own music?
« on: December 19, 2019, 02:08:06 PM »
The absolute grind involved with mastering an art form is definitely very daunting but I guess I just want what's at the end of that grind so much that I can't bring myself to give up (even though external factors are creating some serious roadblocks).

You didn't just start out as a great writer I would assume, so did you not feel the same way when you were developing that skill or is it just something you managed to get through and don't want to have to experience again?

The Flood / Re: Has anyone ever composed their own music?
« on: December 19, 2019, 01:45:42 PM »
if i'm gonna spend any amount of time making something artistically, it has to be good, otherwise it's a waste of time
Then how do you start learning any art form? You have to spend time sucking at any craft until you eventually start to improve unless it happens to be the rare instance where you are just naturally more talented at something.

« on: December 19, 2019, 01:37:55 PM »
we're trying to remove him from office, that's what

i know you said that already, but then in the same sentence, you said that you weren't sure, so i decided to remind you

imagine if we as a people only tried to accomplish things that were easy or expected
Even though you know it's pretty much certain that the senate will not remove him so it's a vain attempt? I can understand trying it if you have nothing to lose, but it seems like Democrats do have a lot to lose in attempting this. There's no guarantee that voters they need to win over for 2020 are going to respond positively to this.

I don't think it's practical to make such a risky move in the hopes of what is essentially winning the political lottery.
