It sure as hell costs more than 1 cent in energy to make a 50 gallon barrel and extract enough oil to fill it. There must be one hell of a surplus.

Go straight to the catacombs and get the gravelord sword for instant early game cheese. Or you can try your luck with RNG and maybe get a black knight halberd.

idk why you guys give SC so much grief. The lad has passion.
tbh his often incoherent weirdness and the aggressive and annoyed response to it is maybe the most amusing thing left on this forum to me these days.

Serious / Re: Why don't people care about the Biden allegations?

My opinion is that it's a bit of people thinking it's just par for the course at this point, and a bit of people not wanting to screw any chance Biden might have of beating Trump.

China reported 60 new cases from yesterday.

This was April 4th, basically just a day after the end of lockdown:

Every shell is covered in transparent blanket, nobody without mask allowed to enter (actually you can't go outside without mask and document that shows your identity), only 1-3 customers can be inside shop at the same time, every shopkeeper wears mask and gloves.
You guys not having a shortage of masks or something because you're lucky to find any around here. What if you literally can't find one? Are you just unable to buy food?

I've been able to get meat since they've been limiting the amount per customer, but the vegetables I get are still stocked full. I guess no one cares for any spinach or arugula around here. Water is selling out as well but only the cheap kind. I've been able to get the pricier stuff still. TP and paper towels are always out of stock. So are all disinfectants, although there has been a little bit of soap still. Couldn't find any Everclear in any liquor store either. I've heard that they aren't sending it out to stores and are making alcohol for companies to make hand sanitizer with right now, but I'm not sure how much truth there is to that.

I ordered a quart of 99% ethanol online from eyeglass supply store to make my own hand sanitizer with. Amazon has nothing available. They are prioritizing hospitals and government agencies anyways, and anything you can find can take over a month to arrive.

It's peculiar how Japan isn't seeing more cases than it's currently experiencing right now given their life expectancy and standard of living.

Then again, they have the added benefit of living on an island.
Well I hear the Japanese are a pretty "clean" and orderly society and they don't really touch each other much as their culture seems to respect personal space more than western cultures. People who are sick or have allergies wearing a mask so they don't cough or sneeze on someone has also been a common thing there for years now.

Also Venice being both tourist attraction and having high humidity is just perfect, perfect place for this virus to operate.
Other viruses like influenza are harder to spread in humid weather because the humidity condenses more water on the respiratory droplets from coughing or sneezing which causes them to fall to the ground faster and not travel as far. I've heard that the WHO was hoping that SARS-CoV-2 would also share this property which could make it more seasonal like the influenza virus, but they needed to study it further to determine whether or not that is the case.

Has there been some evidence that the humidity somehow has the opposite effect for this virus and makes it spread easier?

Both of my jobs are considered essential services so I'll literally be working to the last man standing or unless the government orders food stores to shut down. I'm already pulling twenty hour days on shifts because the rest of my co-workers are burning out and I seem to be the only one not complaining or dropping and sleeping on the spot over the massive backload and hours per shift of work to do.
You better be careful because missing out on sleep will tank your immune system.

The US is so large that its states are like individual countries themselves. New York has been hit very hard by the virus, but here in North Carolina, things are not so serious to warrant a full lock down, fortunately.

Even if you were to exclude Italy entirely, Europe as a whole has been affected more so than the US which is relatively comparable in size. We may have the third highest number of cases right now, but that's spread over a much larger area and population than, say, Spain with the fourth highest number.

>95%+ people survive
>80% of cases are mild
>If I get it I'll just kill myself
You actually can't know this, sick people are mostly ones that don't visit hospital, also government might not tell you truth to not spread more panic than needed or for other reasons.
If you account for the people that are infected but not bad off enough to be hospitalized or get tested then the death rate would actually be even smaller.
It's hard to judge by the death rate number since it takes a few days for virus to incubate, meaning that in some countries it just didn't have time to start killing people yet. Ultimately how good virus will do it's job depends on government measures and people awareness and cooperation.
The ultimate death rate will be different for each country depending on the effectiveness of the measures they take and the quality of their health care infrastructure, but regardless, accounting for more mild cases will lower it.

The point of that original post isn't the exact numbers anyways.

There's also MERS (Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome) also known as Camel Flu.

I guess I'd just like to pose a question for any art minded person here. Has your own artwork helped you along in your life?
My greatest passion in life is to create. Visual art, and eventually stories as well. That passion is a major contributing factor to my will to live, but unfortunately my chronic health problems significantly impact my drive to practice it and create art like I want to. I haven't given up on the dream yet, however.

Apparently some asshole was buying all the soap and sanitizer in the groccery store my dad was in yesterday intending to resell the shit and wouldn't let anyone else have any. My dad has a really short fuse lets just say and nearly assaulted the guy. Thankfully he realized getting arrested isn't the best thing to be happening to him right now and just got out of there, but everyone else was just as pissed and cursing at the dude.

Covid 19 is concerning, but I'm honestly more worried about the ridiculous panic people seem to be in right now,and the asshole opportunists trying to seize on it for their own gain.

so there are no shortages of any kind thankfully and all the rich people are taking it seriously.
Lucky. There are a few cases here in eastern NC and people have begun hoarding toilet paper and hand soap/sanitizer.
