Yes there is. Intelligence is just a measurement. Some people are quicker thinkers and faster learners than others. Some people are just prone to mistakes, there's a definite inherent intelligence. Case in point - down syndrome. I don't have down syndrome, but I am pretty unintelligent anyways. People don't seem to care, they give all the respect in the world to people with down syndrome.
Nothing exists inherently. Nothing. Your intelligence is a result and, regardless of what genes you might have received, or what the crap was your mother might have been ingesting when she was pregnant with you, there are still plenty of variables in that equation that are under your control so long as you have the will to put them there.
