« on: June 02, 2023, 02:57:40 PM »
The only major thing in my life that is supposed to happen this summer is finding out whether or not I will be approved for social security disability and if I will have to get a laywer. Otherwise life will be the same as it has been, I guess.

The Flood / Re: AI, Art, and Artists.

Maybe I should be more worried since I'm an artist but I'm not that much. I do feel for the artists whose work was basically stolen without their consent to train the AI. For me, I just like creating stuff. Just because a computer can create doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to stop wanting to.

As far as carbs, I would choose a muffin.

But ultimately I would rather have an omelet.

Perhaps incels are the final evolution of simps after they've been rejected enough times.

You can get a Gigabyte 3060 on Amazon right now for $400 and it’ll come with 12GB of VRAM. I tried looking into 20 series cards with similar specs yet those all have some crazy ass VRAM tax in them and are well into the $1k prices which is absolutely bizarre to me.

EDIT: Gigabyte has an RTX 3060 Ti on Amazon for $430 right now.

I only have a 1660. Don't know if I should replace it with the same or get an upgrade. Got about 500 bucks I could spend on one.
I was thinking about looking at a 3060. The 1660 has been perfectly fine for the stuff I play but it would be nice to have something at least a little more future proof.

I don't really understand GPU prices. Last time I looked at 20 series cards a few months ago I saw many priced much higher than newer gen cards with similar specs. I know crypto mining fucked GPU prices up, but I figured they would've  returned closer to "normal" since the crash.

I think I need to replace my GPU as I've been having issues with stuttering. Mainly when I have Youtube vids playing and then do something like close another program. my GPU usage in task manager will spike to 100% for a second and the video and audio will lag.

The Flood / Re: The Last of Us is really good

Never played the game but I've heard the show is surprisingly good. I guess they're sticking pretty well to the source material and its lore since the first game was so beloved.

It's a shame they didn't do the same with the Halo show. Instead we got Master Cheeks in a sex scene.

Seem mostly fine to me, although I don't trust self driving features much yet. That recent vid of a Tesla randomly slamming brakes on a highway and causing an 8 car pile up reinforces that for me.

They definitely need to solve the issues with batteries though. Lithium and cobalt mining aren't exactly green and sustainable the way people like to treat EVs as.

Just realized about a year from now the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will turn a decade old, damn.

Happy holiday fellas!
January 2023 will be 10 years since Bnext launched
Definitely not an anniversary worth celebrating.

The Flood / Re: "Being poor makes you fat"
« on: December 25, 2022, 10:07:15 PM »
It's not exactly being poor that makes you fat. I'd say it's having to eat cheap processed foods full of 10 different types of sugar and oils and massive amounts of carbs. And with limited physical activity your body can't burn off all the fat it takes in because you have so much glucose to burn for energy instead. Which is why keto diets are so popular now.

Of course, I'm no expert in this shit and that's just the best of my layman's understanding. The thing is, I have to eat fresh meat and vegetables home cooked exclusively because of my health condition and it really isn't that expensive, especially compared to eating fast food or takeout. You just have to have the time and will to cook your own food.

I think he was rooting for the GOP since he was absolutely malding in the previous page.
It's pretty obvious Ian was hoping for the GOP to win bigger, but I will say that basically everyone I know that is a Republican or leans republican believes that the majority of the GOP are complete losers.

I'm gonna start leaving it open in a tab at all times to get the high score.
Won't work. That's exactly what I do and I only have 143 days.
Unless you're constantly refreshing every 15 mins or so it won't count.

ngl guys
Don't know how you do jt
Just imagining kidney stones makes me want to put a bullet through my head
I heard it was supposed to hurt in your side terribly but for some reason the majority of my pain has been in my groin/bladder.

It does fucking sting when the stone comes out though. The second stone I passed got stuck for a second and then shot out of my dick, flew passed the toilet, and then smacked against the wall.

i see—so it sounds like your current ones have been lying dormant for a while, then? that was my situation as well, although i've only dealt with two

nothing but water is great, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to add some lemonade in there. i know it seems counterintuitive with the sugar, but the citric acid has been shown to help break stones down and prevent more from forming (plus it's delicious)
I only found out that I had stones about two months ago. There is a cluster of multiple stones in my right kidney. I just had lithotripsy today actually to break them up so they can pass easier.

Unfortunately lemon tends to give me heartburn. I've tried to use vinegar instead as I've heard it also helps. I just put a shot of it in a glass of water and chug it down.

Currently dealing with kidney stones so let's just say I'm not doing the greatest.
you've no doubt heard this from your doctor, but you should really drink nothing but water and lemonade for the rest of your days, on top of reducing your sodium intake (assuming it's that kind of stone). you'll never get another
I only drink water. Literally nothing else. Some of it is flavored but it's clear and has zero sugar or sweeteners. The reason I developed stones is actually from my restricted diet which was very high in oxalate. The stones I've passed already were tested and found to be calcium oxalate stones. Needless to say I've cut out the foods responsible.

Jason Jones is still there I think
I wonder if he's embarrassed at all.

The Flood / Re: It's been awhile, how's everyone going?
« on: May 12, 2022, 04:34:31 AM »
I have some very mild nausea but I've only gotten it about once a day so far. Unlike most people, I don't mind if my body throws up because I understand I'll at least feel absolutely amazing right afterwards with the huge rush of chemicals going through my head.

I got sick back in January (which is what apparently knocked my immune system out enough to for me to end up with bacterial pneumonia) and I had one of the worst sore throats I've ever had in my life. Thought it might be strep since I ended up vomiting as well.

Have you not felt nauseous at all? I've had strep multiple times in my life and every time I would have terrible nausea and end up puking.
Ah the kind of nausea I would get is the kind that lasts forever and ends up making you dry heave because there's nothing left to come up.
