How would you guys feel about capping the progressive ranks at Mythic and then adding in 3-4 relative ranks that only allow the top-ranked members in? I'm thinking that might be a better solution than moving the goals for the ranks again.
So for instance:
Everything is the same up to Mythic. Once you hit Mythic, your posts, time online, warnings, trust, etc would be weighted and added up, and each day or week or something, the forum would basically check and see who the top ranking users are, then assign them to the extra-mythic ranks.
Kind of like a seasonal rank in Halo 5 or something, but more relative and long term, since you'd be competing with the member pool as a whole.
Couldn't this also generate the problem of competitive shitposting?

Not quite sure how to answer this. I obviously don't find joy in knowing people aren't happy and I certainly don't like comparing my life to anyone else's. It's pointless.
Just because your not in a good spot doesn't make me happy my life isn't crap. It makes me feel as if I don't deserve it, which in reality is somewhat true.
I don't know what's going on in your life but all things turn around. Good to bad , good to bad, life is a cycle. It turns when it turns, sometimes the turn takes a long time, but it always turns.

I always try to find the route with the least amount of bullshit going on, even if it's just a tad bit longer. With that being said, some roads are just abysmally designed, especially around here.
Just pay attention, and wait if you have to. Don't follow what other people do, there's no guarantee that they aren't a shit driver themselves. (except for going with the flow of traffic on highways, don't be that fucker that refuses to go with the flow of traffic.)
If you don't have an arrow, and there's only 'iffy' looking openings for a turn then just wait it out. Or you can just go right, get on the perpendicular road, and go straight through the light.
