Dude tossed a lit 'artillery shell' firework into the bleachers at a rally that exploded in the middle of a large group of students.
Those fuckers are dangerous, luckily no one was injured.

I cannot logically see morality as an objective phenomenon. Without some form of sentience to conceive of it, it never arises into being.
Why does that mean it's subjective.
Because the concept of morality doesn't exist from my perspective as something objective like the absolute most effective way to eliminate suffering. I define morality as each person's individual measure and interpretation of the nature of suffering, and the ethics they come to live by as a result of their perspective and experience in life.

Rights aren't granted. They just are.
I don't see rights as inherently existing at all. They are conditioned by sentience and intelligence. If there is none to rationalize and define them then they never manifest.
I disagree. Morality is a constant, but only sapient beings can recognize it. It's immoral for a fox to slowly eat a rabbit alive, but the fox doesn't know that.
I cannot logically see morality as an objective phenomenon. Without some form of sentience to conceive of it, it never arises into being. I see morality more as the ego's way of subjectively measuring and defining the nature of suffering.

Pretty much everybody here seems less laid back than before sep7 started up tbh
We've always had the 'make a thread on x topic and suddenly there's 5 pages of arguments about water being wet' thing, but now there's no ayys and lmaos to balance it out.
What happened fams?

I'm much more of a psychonaut than a stoner. I only continued to smoke pot for certain health issues, and have quit smoking it. I fully recognize that the habitual use of psychoactive substances contributes to a lack of mindfulness, which is a quality that I value immensely.
Also, I became interested in and started studying zen philosophy years before I ever did any drugs. What turned me on to it was depression and an existential crisis in my teens.
