Gaming / Re: What's a popular series that you never played?

TFW 453 hours on GTA  and Its mostly from online, I've only touched the campaign 4-5 times.
How the fuck do you even stay interested in a game that long?

Even with mods, I racked up 110 hours and then just never played it again. It got to the point where I would just get bored ten minutes after playing because I'd felt like I'd done pretty much everything.
Friends/Hackers keep it interesting, plus its one of the few games we can play together on steam. I mean if it was just myself playing it I probably would've just had like 10-20 hrs on it max.
Spoiler
What fascinates me more is how Rockstar adding the first person mode made me actually play gta v to begin with because I fucking hate the third person movement for this game and so I never touched it when I had it on the 360
You drive in first person? Shit is so wonky.

Was never into them. My music taste has always been mostly estranged from what's popular.

No spoiler tags if not for me. Also the color of links.

Seriously, Cheat is responsible for everything minus whatever Isara did.

Food intolerance is shit. I'm extremely sensitive to sugar and carbs but somehow was spared of celiac. Makes no difference in the end, I still can't eat bread or pasta.

You're really not missing out on anything from bread unless you just like the flavor.
You don't know how much I wish I could eat a sandwich again.

A society's choice to legalize recreational drugs says a lot about it. None of which is good.

dude tool lmao
That's Alex Grey's work who gets a lot of inspiration from psychedelics/entheogens. Tool just used his stuff for their last two albums.
The quote is still retarded as fuck though.   Psychedelics aren't illegal because I'm gonna smoke some peyote and suddenly learn that the government is wrong about everything and the we need to rebel and form a nation spanning anarcho-syndicalist commune, they're illegal because Florida Man.
I'm not debating the validity of the quote. I'm just clarifying the origin of the artwork.

It's true, though, that I do not believe the powers that maintain the war on drugs are truly concerned with public health.
But I don't believe psychedelics should taken for recreation.

also, the only argument needed for pro-legalization is the state of Colorado giving money back to its citizens because of the insane amounts of tax revenue coming from legal pot
Just imagine how much California is going to make.

Okay well, uh

It's also really fuckin' easy to get weed right now

Yep. Build the wall, secure the border. Crack down on drug trafficking so we can focus on getting rid of the home grown stuff.
But why, nigga?

For what purpose, Master Chief?

Drugs are bad. Alcohol is bad. The only reason why prohibition didn't work is because they flipped a switch instead of easing the populace into it. Those in power werw also not entirely supportive of it. Values the country reflect from the values of our president.
no medical aid if you become addicted
Addicts need aid. If they were treated like ailing patients more so than criminals, a lot of them would be more open to try kicking their addiction.
If you get to that point, you can rot, suffer, and die for all I or anyone else should care.
Doctors mistreat many patients who are none-the-wiser allowing them to become addicted to synthetic opiods and benzodiazepines throughout this country. Are you suggesting these people, having been mistreated by the medical professionals they are supposed to be able to trust, deserve their suffering and possibly even death for having been lead to the point of addiction?
"Does this contrived exception to your rule count as a contrived exception to your rule?"

What do you think?
How is something that is very real contrived? You didn't specify so I asked.
It should be a given that people who had their addictions imposed on them wouldn't count. I should not have to specify that.
Yes for someone with an average sense of ethics and morality. I've never perceived you to have an average sense of those things, however. Not to say you're malicious or anything.

Key note, I said there's an exception to those who undergo the whole mess unwillingly.

As for those docs that perpetrate that crap? You take them out back, and you shoot them. No bullshit, no suspensions or pay cuts or short trips to prison.
I was busy replying when you posted that

A lot of people are lead into addiction with prescriptions first, and then end up on illicit substances to keep withdrawal away. Rationality and logic are set aside when addiction reaches a certain point.

I pity addicts, but I would never demonize them. It's a miserable existence and they have enough suffering for me to keep from hating or scorning them.

Of course, then they have to deal with doctors putting them on suboxone, methadone, and benzodiazpines, only to have them become addicted those medications instead.

It's pretty sad that there are still so many people that believe cannabis' illegality is a public health issue instead of a political and financial one. If our government was truly concerned with public health then alcohol and tobacco would be schedule 1 substances, pharmaceuticals would have a far greater deal of oversight, and a great deal of food additives would be banned like they are in European countries.

I long for the day when a well informed public is allowed to make their own decisions over whether or not they will use certain substances.

I don't identify as a libertarian but I value liberty very much.

I feel like people should begin to clarify when they say "drugs" because drugs can be stuff like Tylenol or Ibuprofen, not just weed.
Tylenol and any other harmless thing out there.
Tylenol is far from harmless.

Sometimes I feel like doctors condition people into states of learned helplessness simply to make them dependent on medications they shill for pharmaceutical corporations.

Maybe I should be wearing a tin-foil hat, but there's plenty of evidence alluding to corruption within the pharmaceutical industry.

This was interesting and worrying to me:
