The Flood / Re: Art Hub
« on: November 07, 2017, 06:40:54 PM »
I am struggling so hard with figuring out how to start learning to color/paint digitally. I've really gotta look for some resources to learn from.

What exactly are you struggling with?
I hesitate to start learning to color because I don't have any real foundation to begin from. Any coloring I do is entirely experimental and not based on any real resource. The styles of coloring I would like to achieve are at the other end of a long road for me and I have a real problem with starting to learn anything I'm not good at.

And a little style experiment. Pretty meh but I do really like the A.

Serious / Re: Gunmen kills 27, injures 20+ in Texas church

Pedophiles don't care about laws, they can rape a child illegally easily.
Hackers don't care about laws, they can hack a company or government easily.
Theifs don't care about laws, they can steal from someone easily.

Shall I go on?

These analogies don't work very well. Molestation, hacking, thievery are all actions. In a gun crime, the action is shooting an individual, which is already illegal outside of defense, and even still as a defensive measure at times.

From what I've seen the essence of the argument for gun control focuses on the object used to commit the crime, the gun, and not necessarily the action taken with the gun to commit a crime.

With the hacking analogy, a better one would be to say, "We need more regulations on computers because we have a problem with hacking."

However, even that analogy doesn't hold water all too well because computers are not as immediately threatening/dangerous as a gun is.

Graffiti/typography.

tbh drawing letters will train your brain to remember how to emulate common forms well like curves, straight lines, angles etc.

SinixDesign does a nice video about the ways it can help, albeit he's not really the best with letter structure.

Yes I often avoid conversations because I'm just not in the mood. tbh it has severely limited my connecting with other people over the years, and I have some serious regrets over it.

Would you ever smoke a blunt or rip a bong with me?
Sure why not. You grow your own?
Kill yourselves

Gotta agree with verb on this one.
What's wrong with weed? It doesn't hurt anybody.

Weed is great, you guys are laaaaaame.
So you wouldn't smoke a blunt with me?

Nah I'm no green thumb but the chronic exists everywhere, it's just a matter of finding it.
Do you live in a state where it's decriminalized? Because otherwise you might be funding cartels buying from the street.
It's decriminalized under an ounce here in NC. I never buy brick week either. Only at or near dispensery quality. In fact, I used to have a connect that would get their stuff directly from Colorado, with the labels detailing the strain name, cannabinoid levels etc. on the containers and everything.

It's actually pretty profound how much wisdom there is in cleaning your room.
this nigga is too much lmao
It's true. Clean your room, sort yourself out, bucko.
My room is always neat and clean. There's no wisdom to attain, it's just healthy physically and mentally.
Sounds like you haven't quite had the full experience of cleaning your room, rescuing your dead father from the underworld, and sorting yourself out.

Universe 7 gets erased, and Jiren decides to correct Goku's villainous intentions, by saying Pwetty Peas; defying Zen-Oh, and reviving the other universes, including Frost, at the cost himself and the Pride Troopers.

I feel like your lines are slowly but steadily getting less sketchy and more confident. How often do you ink your sketches?

Some simple messy outline from me. I need to play around with color again more.

So I'm trying to settle down on an art tablet but I'm not sure which model to go with. Big Boss suggested this one to me awhile ago but personally I'd like something with a bit larger screen.

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B071R3N6ZJ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=18AP3PFM0BPOE&coliid=I3KB25HFPLW4AM&psc=1

What do you guys think?
I'm not sure about that one. I've never heard of that brand or seen any reviews on them. I suppose if Big Boss is recommending it then it can't be all that bad.

I have a Ugee HK1560 that I've enjoyed for about 3 months now. No problems with it so far and the installation was pretty straight forward and simple. It's a 15.6' display. It's definitely more expensive than that one, though. I got mine for around 300 usd but I see one on ebay now for 329 usd.
