Where's that super sassy Revolver reload animation that keeps getting posted everywhere? More devs need to do these rare joke anim things lmao

Was referring to BF4 but those are hilarious too

This would be great if it leads to a new Marathon. Marathon without Greg Kirkpatrick is literally the embodiment of "no"

Gotcha Berzerk. Was Bungie high when they wrote the patch details or something?

http://halo.bungie.org/bwu/index.html?item=21"Jumping strikes are now much more powerful, often resulting in instant kills" of course you have.to reach the right momentum for that to happen, but my point still stands: post AU H2 had among the strongest melees in the series, and certainly more so than CE.

Not to mention Halo 2 had the weakest melee damage in the series. ... pre patch Halo 2? Post patch was among the most powerful in the entire series [momentum BR melee killed in a maximum of two bloody hits man]. It's why BXR/BXB became actual options in combat.
And precious Halo 2 would still be about as bad as Halo 3 had Bungie not accidentally fixed the BR spread [look at their patch notes, there's nothing listed about the BR].
The actual melee damage was always the weakest in the series in Halo 2. Notice how your shields never went down all the way from one melee attack in Halo 2.
Uh, yes they did. In fact post AU1.1 could kill with one jumping hit.

A) This is Turkey's domain man, he's on another plane of existence when it comes to math. He's right on: while this is a well known principle [yes yes it's 1 AM gimme a break ;_;] I get the feeling it's not what you're looking for [proof != evidence]. B) But now, you're on MAT proof turf. Direct proof by algebra [exceedingly messy]: Let X be a claim dependent on evidence Y Want to show P(X|Y) > P(X) => P(X'|Y') > P(X'). { Bayes' Thm [I have to give up my beloved square brackets for this ;_;]} P(X|Y) = P(Y|X)[P(X)/P(Y)] { P(X|Y) > P(X), obvious as claim/evidence supersedes claim, bring in B Thm and substitute for P(X|Y)} P(Y|X)[P(X)]/P(Y) > P(X) { Bring P(Y) over } P(Y|X)[P(X)] > P(X)P(Y) { We know P(Y) = 1-P(Y') and P(Y|X) = 1-P(Y'|X) by definition, so } [1-P(Y'|X)][P(X)] > [P(X)][1-P(Y')] { Expand to cancel P(X), then multiply by negative 1 [flips the inequality] } [P(X)][P(Y')] > [P(X)][P(Y'/X)] { By Bayes' Thm, after bringing the denominator over, [P(X)][P(Y'|X)] = [P(X|Y')][P(Y')] } [P(X)][P(Y')] > [P(X|Y')][P(Y')] { P(X) = 1-P(X') and P(X|Y') = 1-P(X'|Y') by definition } [P(Y')][1-P(X')] > [P(Y')][1-P(X'|Y')] { Again, multiply it out, cancel P(Y') and negate } [P(Y')][P(X'|Y')] > [P(X')][P(Y')] { Cancel P(Y') } P(X'|Y') > P(X') Q to the E to the D Spoiler Formatting this thing was the actual challenge holy hell

Then "pragmatic" is simply the wrong word to use--I honestly don't believe that abstention from childbirth is really too much to ask, especially considering that the only countries that are reproducing en masse also happen to be the most impoverished and dilapidated shitholes on the planet. So I'm really not asking for much. Pragmatic is the right word to use in the case of hard antinatalism [i.e. removal of all agents from the universe]. It's not a goal which can be reached on any realistic timescale, and you even agree to that later on in this post. I reject the notion that the universe is infinite on its face, Consensus among scientists is that it's probably infinite. I can provide sourcing if you'd like. and I'm really not sure what that has to do with anything. A lot of people try to say that if there's aliens, that's supposed to debunk anti-natalism. Somehow. The existence of sentient beings on other planets somehow justifies the further creation of them. Obviously. Removing all agents from here => nobody to send the message elsewhere. No... it doesn't. It just means that, now, we have this whole universe to clean up. Exactly my point. That's literally an unattainable goal for humanity at anything near our level of advancement. If you want to clear the entire universe up, you have to retain some agents to, well, do the cleaning. Am I just supposed to give up? Don't fight for causes that I believe in? Fuck that shit. No, you're supposed to realize that even though your philosophy may be right, now is not the right time to enact it on a widespread level. Sure, you could make the case that several countries should adopt [heh] antinatalistic policies, but as said before a species full of antinatalists in our time wouldn't fulfill the goals of the philosophy by any means."Give up and stop spreading your message because it's not a practical goal" isn't what I'm saying [transhumanist dreams wouldn't exist otherwise]. What I am saying is that antinatalism is idealistic and even were I to be on your side regarding the logic behind it, I wouldn't sign on for VHEMT just yet. Not necessarily, but preventing a cancer is always going to be a good thing. If there's two cancer patients, and only one patient is gonna live, well, that's the best you could do. That's all I can really ask for. If there's other life out in the universe, we can't do anything about it. Not for centuries, if ever. Then it becomes a matter of "diluting" antinatalism to a "modern" status, and hard/pure antinatalism is forgone. Antinatalism is a universal quantification should it be true [you can apply every argument made towards human antinatalism to every other species ever, and certainly every other intelligent species that we know of]. Gotcha, but you needn't worry about me not taking you and your philosophy seriously. I'm just really pressed for time, but I'm not going to dismiss your posts like that.

I don't even know what that means, but whatever, I guess. I don't like my life =/> Antinatalism. It obviously is pragmatic Dude, the premier antinatalist thought experiment bases itself on a hypothetical even more unbelievable than half of the super idealistic transhumanist literature out there. I think we can all agree that antinatalism is not going to be stopping the introduction of all agents everywhere any time soon [as in literally astronomic timescales off]. Hell, should the universe be infinite [like studies suggest] the entire movement becomes a leap of faith where you "hope" that the other agents to come into existence either don't, or that they all become antinatalists as well. "Hard" antinatalism is just not a pragmatic philosophy. Sure, you can definitely argue that it's a sound one [your back and forth with Meta's been interesting on that note] but... Indeed, you defend your existence by your agency, claiming that you'd commit suicide were spreading the message not such an important cause. Do you believe that enacting antinatalism at this stage in our development, [i.e. removing all agents from Earth] will fulfill the antinatalist philosophy [i.e. removing all agents from existence]? <rest of post> :| Spoiler I've gotta go now, sorry for the half a$$ed reply, but Verbatim: you're giving off a hostile tone. Feel free to continue [your post, your call] but I just want to say that I have no intention of reinstating any antagonism between us.

Two weeks ago I would've been all over this. Six exams, each making up 100% of my grade for each class, for a grand total of close to 5000 pages of course materials, on just 15 days.
Flee I can never relate to you on this stuff. Like, you are always at this ascended, higher plane of existence when it comes to being busy

What kind of instructor calls it a good idea to have 4 assignments for her course due on the same day, on midterm/major term test/essay week no less
