When games, even good ones, get so caught up in setting emotional tones for individual set pieces that they forget to set one for the entire game itself. That kinda ideology leads to games which have great "moments" but end up feeling like a mess of ideas.
Also the reverse: when games get so caught up in setting emotional tones for the entire game that every experience feels like a homogenous drill of the game's main design philosophies, designed to beat the same thing into your head over and over again. Like, it's cool that you have a unique idea, but it's not unique enough to withstand being homogenized with itself.
Also when games decide to purposefully take agency away from the player by providing irremovable "assists." Ugh, why Bungie

BDobbins is among the most unbelievably silly of all the YT sperglords, but the message behind this video is one which I think should be made clear.
Only problem is the fact that he's not advocating the abolishing of preordering in general lmao
He's right about a lot of things though, even if he's a tad bit over dramatic.
Depends on the video. This one I have no qualms with though. He's totally right about what he says regarding ODST and Relic [though that might just be due to the fact that I want Waterworks instead]. Spoiler Side note: I don't have the MCC, but I wholeheartedly support all those raging against the handling of it.

Glad to see you're still with us. That being said, the chance that you might experience aftereffects from whatever may have transpired is real [physically and mentally]. It might not seem like there are much avenues to go through, but you just have to look in the right place. Try talking to people; professional therapists, friends, and even online support forums can provide you the help you need.
Nihilistic reflections are always difficult to contend. But, as others have said, with support I'm sure you can steer yourself back into a brilliant future- one which I have no doubt that you can achieve. Stay strong, Whiteflame.

You can't fight fire with a nuclear bomb, only more nukes.
Wha
No really, what
You have to stoop to the same low if you want to accomplish anything.
But you're saying that you can't fight X with Y, instead you can only do so with... more of Y?
Yeah I know it didn't make any sense on a logical basis, but I thought it sounded better that way. And people understood what I meant by it anyway... well maybe except for you because you read things logically.
Spoiler I'm just screwing w/ya

much like how there hasn't been a great game made in years
hehe its always da halo guys that act like there are no great games around.
Last game I'd be willing to call great was made in 2011
No idea what you mean by "halo guys" as literally everyone I know in the Halo community would disagree with me
Just sumthin I noticed I guess. Feel like I've played quite a few 'great' games since 2011. Even a couple amazing ones.
But I do have different taste than most people here so eh.
Well I was being hyperbolic of course, I haven't played every game released since then. My definition of "great" could actually equate to yours/others' definitions of "amazing;" I consider great games to be those that I'll always want to replay upon thinking about them. Human Revolution was the last game to do that for me so And right on with the taste, I'm weird too
