Why are people talking about Chief's flash clone anyway? Is there something I missed?

What "life"?
Those things weren't even supposed to see their late teens ffs.
Life up until a disappearance [death]. And Halsey's journal confirms several clones were able to survive much longer than initially predicted.

Chief sees Locke as some annoyance chasing him throughout his mission and envisions his endgame
And meanwhile on waypoint, "WHY CAN'T LOCKE BE JOHNS CLONE?"
"The Master Chief wasn't the original John that got abducted, the orignal John lived his life normally. The Flash Clone never replaced John. John was cloned and returned to his parents, the flash clone was the John that became the Master Chief. Cortana asks Chief in Halo 4 "wich one of us is the Machine?" Chief is has been a clone based off the real john this whole time, and learning this has damaged his self esteem even more. Perhaps thats why he does an unknown act wich deems him a "traitor".

A) Literally no. Frankie outright denied this on GAF and stated that Chief was the hero of the story by all means.
B) Flash clones have been in canon for years, SIIs were replaced with them. That's why you hear stuff about Chief in high school.
Wouldn't flash clones die a few weeks or months after being put in place of the abducted child?
Not all of them, as per Halsey's journal.

Maybe it was the character she played, not necessarily the actress >.>
Nah, I didn't have much qualms about the character, or even her lines. Some line deliveries just sounded weird to me.

B) do the potential direct collateral consequences justify the potential result?
C (A+B)) you're talking about the long term. FEMA funding is the now with potentially short term results. do you not think that there are other paths to removing educational indoctrination?
assume that the two [by your own admission, though i'd be willing to debate it] propose the same magnitude of danger. is removing the long term permanently worth sacrificing the short term temporarily?
D) if the only justifications for this are utilitarian, what is your utility equation here? it's filled with "magic" premises
