You can watch season  3 but you won't understand some of the plot points or how/why some things are happening.

I think I might just make the jump then and fill myself in on S2 through a Wiki or something while I'm watching S3.

Probably won't be getting the game for a while. It'll be fun, I'm sure, but I'm just not drawn into playing it.

Tangentially related question: Can I watch S3 of LoK without finishing the second half of S2? I keep hearing good stuff about it but I wasn't really liking S2 sooo...
