I love how speedrunning 40 questions in Calculus is a breeze but doing 2 proofs questions take me the same amount of time.
You know what? I'm just going to rename this to the "Math Whining Thread." 1746

The Flood / Re: An.....interesting personality test« on: October 05, 2014, 11:33:01 PM »What?! I can't be that narcissistic... or that depressive! Your test scores suggest that your personality style entails: That you have a strong need for attention and affection, but contrary to what could be expected, you are not passive and receptive, waiting for others to notice you of their own accord. On the contrary, you are actively manipulating others to notice you in order to feed your flair for melodrama and nascent attention-seeking. To gain attention, you dramatize matters pertaining to yourself, ranging from clothing, appearance, manner of speaking, and sexuality. You try different tactics with new people to figure out what makes each person respond well to you, modifying yourself in an attempt to gain popularity and admiration. Your behavior is seductive, witty, charming, and gregarious, while at the same time seeming childish and immature. So long as you are with people who greatly enjoy your company, you are contented and the life of the party, yet when you are alone you are sometimes beset by brooding thoughts that you are really unworthy of love. Uhhhh... partly correct I guess? Histrionic label definitely fits though XD 1748

The Grimoire deals with concepts advanced enough to eclipse the majority of Halo's lore.
Though the actual game struggles to combat your average episode of the Teletubbies. 1751

That video explains nothing about who Agent Locke is though. You'll learn more of him in Nightfall! Right now we just know that he's on the hunt for Master Chief. And we know of parts of his backstory from the Halo Channel trailer [i.e. he's basically Colonist Shepard]. 1752

|f| <= M
|g| <= N |f-g+fg| = |f+(-g)+fg| which implies |f+(-g)+fg| <= |f|+|-g|+|fg| <= |f| + |g| + |fg| <= M + N + MN Well I think I'll go bang my head on a desk a few hundred times now 1756

You literally dance when your test or quiz comes back at a score above 65. Psst Calculus, and all forms of it I've encountered [including Calc II] were really overhyped IMO. The questions are long and tedious sometimes, but in the end they're still not all that bad. Proofs on the other hand has me completely floored. And I both love it and hate it for that reason. 1759

Gaming / Re: So I'm playing Halo 4 right now...« on: October 04, 2014, 10:09:28 PM »Quote Halo 4 Legendary is a pain though just because of how bullet spongey the Prometheans are. I don't mind that, it's just the feedback to the player is ridiculous. Reach did the shield indicators perfectly, where the shields would flare up and up until they popped. It was nice visual language that made combat flow well, even if the enemies could enter maximum oversponge. The Prometheans are just giant walking tin cans with pretty death animations, and even though they look cool, they're not appealing to shoot at. 1762

Gaming / Re: So... new MCC cutscene...« on: October 04, 2014, 09:56:51 AM »Not sure how I feel about that MJOLNIR Mix, mix. I agree with that. In fact as much as I love the CEA remasters, I dislike the remastering of the main theme. The percussion is far, far too heavy. Not to mention that some of those weird sounds that Marty made somehow are completely changed [like the sound at the very beginning of the Halo theme]. And, well, the real orchestra is good but the synth charm is lost too 1767
Gaming / Re: Vault of Glass anyone? (360)« on: October 04, 2014, 09:47:48 AM »So how is the raid different from the normal game? I've always heard Desticles and Bungie claim that the raids would be game-changing, incredible and tough experiences that would push the players to the limits of their gaming and mental capacity. But from what I've seen, it doesn't look much different from anything else Destiny to offer. They actually have well crafted set pieces that exploit the gunplay and team mechanics to their fullest. It's kind of hard to explain because they're just so elaborate, but it skyrockets in complexity. The reason why people are treating this like it's a godsend is because it's basically the only legitimate series of set pieces in the game. 1768

Gaming / Re: Arbiter to play big part in Halo 5?« on: October 04, 2014, 07:02:34 AM »
Latest OXM confirmed that Locke would be enlisting Arbiter's aid for Halo 5 [as if we didn't have enough hints of that before!] and considering H2A terminals will delve into his backstory I see no reason for this level of buildup if Arbiter isn't going to show up in a major way.
But I REALLY don't think we'll get a 3rd playable character. 343 wants to make Locke an integral part of franchise fiction. Having both the Chief and Arbiter in there would just soften the impact of his debut game [and I think he'd be eclipsed in terms of a bada$$ery standpoint as well XD]. 1770
