calling it now

murphyposting will be the new baneposting

Calling it right now: VIIposting is the one single thing that has a chance of dethroning Nolan's reputation on /tv/

luddites are retarded

There are some more intelligent ones here and there, making debates difficult XD.

Hence why I'm hyped for Interstellar so they can get BTFO on the big screen
There is literally no such thing as an intelligent luddite

The only good use for a luddite is turning them into mulch.
that wouldn't satisfy their convictions, though. they'd be dying at the hands of a machine, the very thing that they're bringing down. they should at least be drawn and quartered.

I dunno, I like the irony of them dying at the hands of a machine <_<
Demonstrating how superior robots are to filthy meatbags.
Get rekt robit scum

>Implying 80s plot armour can be defeated by anything ever
>Implying the film wasn't rigged from the start for the little bitch to win as otherwise the robot wouldn't exist in the first place

A poor example.
The moral of the story is robots always lose.

You use an example in which the robots win.

GG
How many robots were left at the end of the movie?

How many Kaiju were left on earth?
Enough to warrant a sequel.

They killed them all (on earth) and closed the bridge.

yfw this is all a moot comparison as they were piloted by humans

Is Foxnews become satirical like The Onion, or is this serious? Goldfish don't normally live 10 years, why would you spend $200 on surgery for one when a new one costs like $15?

I think it's a pretty good idea to take Fox News as satire.

I kinda refrained from using the word "luddite" in my OP to prevent generalization. There are certainly intelligent skeptics of technological advancement- especially those considering the pragmatism of space travel.

PS don't leave the windows open

Great.

Let me bend over and kiss my ass goodbye. This computer science degree is just going to be useless.

Nah, we've got time... for now.
We honestly might be the last generation of computer scientists.

Yes, yes, I Banepost and all, but the point being made in this video is something I, in general, feel fairly strongly about with regards to this fear of technology and this belief that expanding into horizons past, well, our own is just a bunch of idealistic nonsense. I think it's something most of us here agree with actually... which is kinda surprising. Usually there's always one sect of dedicated people who are strictly anti space tech on almost every forum I go to.

So I suppose this post actually has no point but to show this video and give me a means to say that I love you all to death, but I could have done that anywhere. Why am I still typing?

Love for paleontology => Love for Jurassic Park

Love for Sci Fi <= Love for Jurassic Park => Purchase of Dino Crisis

Purchase of Dino Crisis => Love for Dinosaur games

Love for Dinosaur games => Purchase of  DC2, Turok 1/2 and every Jurassic Park game ever [Man I have to reinstall Operation Genesis]

Purchase of Turok 1/2 => Love for FPS

Love for FPS => Love for Halo

And yeah then the hierarchy just breaks down into randomly picking out cool looking games.

[At some point I played Deus Ex and I realized that the RPG genre was almost completely worthless as no other game would give me the same feeling again.]

When it starts to circulate the net, it will be easy enough to find out.

Are you asking me to wait for proper context?
