I think I might have misplaced the thread I explained it in  .
Basically, you have to have a few posts in order for the Trust rating system to pop up for you (to change other members' ratings). A member is allowed to rate another specific member once every 24 hours, and the prefixes are (currently) directly representative of your trust rating. This will change in the future, once I find time to tweak how they're computed.
Newbie, Member, and so-on are straight-up post-based.
I'll try to remember to make a thread about this in Updates tonight, so more people know what's going on.

If you're asking how I got my mod status then that's because Cheat needed a 3rd mod to cover the UK time zone and since I was one of the community's top picks and I fit into that category.
