I'll never understand why some of the live adaptations never have characters that look white/american, and just cast them as Japanese people.

Ah ya gotcha. Didn't really think too much into this but yeah i doubt theres many american actors that would do this project especially since they must speak jap. Sort of wish that Hollywood would take this anime to make live action but I doubt it would be any better.
