The Flood / Have any of you been to Japan?
« on: August 30, 2015, 04:07:06 PM »

Or know if that giant RX-78 Statue is still there?

That's probably the only reason why I'd go to Japan (not a place I'd think I'd ever want to go to, at least now) but that is a pretty fucking cool thing to see

The Flood / Nights like these are the ones I will forever value and love
« on: August 28, 2015, 09:59:36 PM »
No, I didn't go out and party, no I didn't do anything that would make a night amazing by an normal standards.

No, the nights like tonight are the ones that truly make me happy. Something as simple as taking my family to dinner at my favorite restaurant. The best Nicaraguan food on the planet in the best city in the world, with the best people in the world. I'm not much of a party kinda of guy anymore, guess I stopped giving a shit about that aspect lmao. I've always valued family pretty much over everything, but as I've gotten older I've appreciated spending time with them more and more. Tonight was nothing special, just a family dinner. The service was fantastic, two young guys did an excellent job, and got an excellent tip (oh and by the way, if your ever eating out at a restaurant and people give you great service, always be generous with the tip, because they deserve it. It's so easy to be an asshole or just provide plain service, but when people go above what they are required to do, they deserve the same satisfaction they gave you. I've never worked in the service industry, but I have always genuinely appreciated when someone does a great job, because you really don't have to. Just an honest tangent I wanted to go on.)

Also there was a mariachi band playing for two groups of people, who ended up playing for the whole restaurant, some guy proposed, it was awesome. These are the kinds of nights that you can't give up, or put a price on. I'd rather spend time with my family, and with people of my culture and have a good genuine night, then go to the livest party in the world.

What I wanted to say beyond that was honestly this. Please never forget about your family, and always show unconditional love for them. I know it's awkward for me to say because I know some of you have had fall outs with your parents, and honestly I really can't express how much it makes me sad to hear that. Like I actually really feel for you. Family has always been one of the biggest things to me, and I couldn't imagine being in a position like that. I don't want to sound ignorant when I say always love your family, because I know sometimes things are far from ideal. But family is family nonetheless, love them or hate them, you've got to love them.

I've lived on my own, then went to college, and I will never loathe coming back down to see my parents, or spending the weekend at the only house I've ever lived in.

And I'm sure none of you really care for anything I just said, and someone will probably accuse me of actually saying all of this to brag or something, but that's my genuine message.

Love your family, and never forget about them. Because when it's all said and done, it's a connection that you only get once, you only have one family, enjoy the time you spend with them.

Have a goodnight flood

The Flood / Daily Reminder that everything is going to be okay fam
« on: August 28, 2015, 05:24:12 PM »
Life sucks at times, but keep your head up. Always be on the look out for what positives there are, and remember, regardless if you think it or not someone is always there for you. Be it someone you know in person, or someone on here. We all look out for our own, and we should. We can fuck around with each other, but seriously, if you see someone thats been down or having trouble, make an effort to just pop your head in and say hey, I'm here for you. Little shit like that can go a long way, and I'm sure all of us would prefer that everyone on here was personally happy and in good standings.

It's all going to be okay fam, I got you, we got you.

155
Holy fuck is the difference drastic. I'm not kidding, what so ever. After going back to FIFA 15 I can't even play it. They play very differently.

Improvements\Additions

Manager Mode gets a very very nice update. A very large amount of new facial scans and customs, as well as accurate body styles.

The addition of training. Allowing you the get multiple players to their potential, in a few seasons time. Example: Memphis Depay started at 79, after three seasons (at the beginning of the third) 91 Overall, Ronaldo to 96, Lacazette 94, Varane 91, Shaw 87, Bellerin 86, Reus 92, Bale 94, Marco Van Ginkle 87, Odeengard 84, Hachim Mastour 84, Hazard 91, Neymar 91, Pogba 89, Gotze 92, Sergio Ramos 90. Rooney 89, David De Gea 90 (Goalies are painful)

Specifically Depay's complete overhaul as a player. Finished with him having 98 finishing, 99 curve, 99 Attack Positioning, 99 Shot Power, 99 FK Acc.

You cannot train for pace and acceleration. Many drills encompass multiple attributes. For example "Chance Creation" puts you (playing as your selected player to train) and your two best forwards try to score in as many ways possible. Getting a higher grade in the training increases your gains. Some players receive bonuses for being exciting prospects or having potential. So building a youth squad early on and developing them is very essential, and very rewarding. Drills go from Easy to Hard, and deal with passing, set pieces, attacking\shooting, dribbling courses, defending scenarios, penalties and GK drills. Your limited to 5 training sessions a week, but you can train a single player those 5 times to really boost them and create an overall player, like I did with Marco Van Ginkle (absolute powerhouse all around CM, definite buy if you know what your doing.)

Gameplay

An absolute plethora of new animations, going from sliding challenges and standing challenges (no longer one or two animations, all are contextual.) Many new player emotion animations, a redone collision system that can create some spectacular collisions. No longer are players falling clunky and awkward, players reacted accordingly.

Shots are now miles more controllable. Good touches produce absolutely sensational contact on the ball resulting in increased power in the shot. You can actually do absolute rockets to the upper 90, or outside the foot curlers (non finesse). Players add spin and curve contextually now, and they have really set up players so you can actually tell that they are world class. Add flick and fancy passes, as well as players acting as they would. For example, Ronaldo doing a back heel aerial through ball on top of the box (without holding the left trigger, which is the new button for flair). Goalies are also more reactive to long shots, and are positioned better. The AI is much more organized in the backline, and much more controlling in the midfield. The AI now has multi dimensional attacking intelligence. They will use the wings when exploitable, they'll make back passes to control tempo, they will run to the corner flags or play more reserved to waste time. Players feel more physical, and players who are stronger actually feel stronger. Wayne Rooney can play as a hold up striker now.

Players all do more passive skills, such as megging and swim moves, as well as many more depending on the player. Neymar is especially crafty. (I didn't get to play with Messi, since I played with Manchester United).

Off the ball juking did feel a little awkward, and at times I completely ignored it. I feel the new catalogue of skills and more passive moves make it irrelevant in Career Mode, it obviously has its uses in Online play.

It's actually much harder to score, because the AI isn't logically flawed.

As a player who is very, very good at manager mode, there were a few delightful changes on top of those listed.

PRE SEASON TOURNAMENTS, yes, its great.

The Board now actually responds to spending. Spend big one season, expect to have little to no budget at the start of the next. Fund Requests are also more difficult to secure, which is nice actually.

But, it is still very easy to lure world class players from their teams. Although I know Manager Mode and all the players like the back of my hand, Big Teams still do very little to hold onto their players. Players still suffer from having contracts run out, which is highly unrealistic. Chelsea isn't going to let Hazard go on a free fee, especially when he doesn't declare he wants to leave and he is their best player overall wise. I was hoping they would make negotiations feel...like actual negotiations. But its still very easy. I am still able to make blockbuster signings and incredibly lucrative deals\player swaps. I built a perfect season sim team in one season (meaning I can sim every game and win the treble and be undefeated).

I even did a go with AC Milan, a team with significantly less financial power, and less player flexibility in terms of being able to make lucrative swaps.

Player Values were made more reliable and predictable. Training even effects their market value, have a bad training and they can go down, as little as 1 or 2 percent, or as big as 45 percent (per Bastian Schweinsteiger)

I put atlas 35 hours into the Beta and was absolutely pleased.

Although many players that should have their faces still don't (Im looking at you Depay), they really did step up their game and really increased their catalogue, I'd say atleast by 3 times.

Also, Messi has his Tattoos. Jozey and Yedlin have their faces.

Any questions you have about the gameplay or changes ask freely, but trust me, its well worth buying. It makes FIFA 15 look like crap.

Been playing it for the last 7 days, a lot. The new changes are actually refreshing, and manager mode is more entertaining then ever.

A hell of a lot more scans of players and new body types are also great. And the updated stadiums are cool too.

Then again, I love FIFA

The Flood / So, I decided to revive and rewrite my books
« on: August 16, 2015, 12:43:09 AM »
I may have made a thread a few months ago about how I was considering it, but wasn't sure. But, I've decided to go through with it.

As a result, much like I did initially, I'll be taking people from the forum and putting them into the books as characters. This time around, you'll be put into the first one, not the second.

If your interested shoot me a pm.

I decided to rewrite them because well, I wrote them around 4 years ago and although they are actually pretty well written, they weren't as dark as I wanted them to be. Now that I'm older and have read and seen darker themes, I can add more and take it to the level I wanted.

If anyone is actually interested in finding out what it's about, ask and I'll add it to the OP. Other then that, would anyone be interested in having a role?

The Flood / Aventador SV Roadster Unveiling
« on: August 14, 2015, 06:54:28 PM »
We all knew it was coming, it'd been leaked around the same time the coupe was spotted.

Not a fan of roadsters, just not my type, and usually you can get by just keeping the top on, but the roadster styling on Aventadors (the back panel) kinda kills it for me.

However, this color is absolutely stunning. And I don't like many cars in blue.

(Not my photo)

Thoughts on it? Also thoughts on Coupe Styling/Versatility over Roadsters?

That added weight though

The Flood / There's an FBI building by my parents house
« on: August 13, 2015, 03:29:33 PM »
Not exactly by it, but in an area they drive through a few times a week.

And man, it's a beautiful building. The entire time they were building it I thought it was a school campus building for a local college, but it was way too nice for it to make sense.

Then we heard it was a FBI building. It's an aesthetically gorgeous building. I'd love to take pictures of it but I feel like that would be sketchy to do. If I can find a picture of it I'll post it so you guys can see.

Thoughts? Any nice government buildings by you?

Edit: it's an FBI building, not CIA.

The Flood / What is considered the apex of technological advancements

Time travel? Teleportation? Light speed travel?

What's the one technology that is the most advanced we can imagine. If that makes sense.

The Flood / This, right here, is the shit that pisses me off
« on: August 11, 2015, 09:35:49 PM »

I'm browsing Instagram and this came up on my explore.

At first sight, I thought two things. Someone bought their family and friends new iPhones, or some is having a giveaway.

After reading comments, this is what it is. This 18 year old rich kid wanted to show off "how much he's worth". When asked why by a commenter he said "because I need to show people I'm better then them, I have enough money to just go buy whatever I want." The iPhone's weren't for his friends, or family. All for himself. He likes buying a lot of phones because he considers them "disposable".

That's the type of shit that gets me so fucking mad. If you have money that's great, I have nothing against that, and it'd be hypocritical if I did. I don't have any problem with people posting stuff like that. Watch photos, cars, vacations, normal stuff. But when your posting shit just to say "hey look at me I'm better then you" then your a piece of shit and I hope nothing but the worst shit on you.

It's the type of pricks that thing just because they have a better living then most people, that they think they are somehow a superior human being. It's one thing to be like hey look at this cool thing, and another to say he look at all the shit I can buy because why not.

You guys give me a lot of shit for me talking about my cars. But no one can tell me I posted shit for anything remotely close to this reason.

If you don't consider everyone equal, or consider yourself above anyone, your a piece of shit. Plain and simple.

The Flood / UK Users, I will be in your country this December.
« on: August 10, 2015, 10:20:03 PM »
The 15th to be exact. Assuming games don't get postponed or moved, I'll be going to the Norwich and Chelsea games at Old Trafford. Might throw in an Arsenal game in there, but I haven't really looked into the Gunners' schedule. I was originally going to go this summer, and before that last winter, but I decided to go this winter cause I can't wait any longer. Lmao. From England I'm going to dabble around in France, and might end in southern Italy.

I've been to Italy, so I have an idea of where I want to go. And more or less France, although I've never been there. UK is to watch my Red Devils, and meet up with a few friends. But outside of the that I have a few days during the trip to do meet ups (if anyone wants to, obviously.) I won't pay for how you get here, but I'll pay for what we do (accompanying me to games, lunches/dinners, etc. whatever we end up doing.) and to be honest, I'm kinda trying to not do the casual tourist thing. So, it'd kinda be interesting to be shown around. That being said, I obviously can't really trust any of you and have to sort of keep things safe, in terms of not allowing you to take me somewhere and jump me lmfao.

I'm not sure if any of you are in France or Italy, that's why this is mostly targeted to UK users (or people who are visiting the UK/France/Italy around the same time.)

Outside of those for sures, I have flexibility. I've heard Switzerland is nice, and since I'll be relatively close, it's not completely out of the question in terms of spending a few days.

I've only been to Europe once, and it'll be the first time solo. Well, my GF will be with me. I don't really know my way around and it's still fairly new to me. I kinda wanted a nice European experience.

Any suggestions, reccomendations/comments?

Also, anyone interested in meeting up?

I don't really care if we don't see eye to eye or particularly like each other, I enjoy meeting people and spending a fun time. At least to a comfortable level. And I don't think any of you would harm anyone else, so I'm not too put off by the idea.

Obviously it wouldn't be smart to straight up outline exactly what we have planned, but hey, it gives me an oppurtinity to meet some of you guys.

Zizzy, United game? Chelsea or Norwich?

Gaming / Metal Gear is just a giant what the fuck
« on: August 03, 2015, 12:28:25 AM »
I played the first metal gear, and the one on the tanker (sons and patriots? Something like that). And I could follow and understand.

Snake Eater I got a little far, but then shit started getting weird. And I have no idea what's even going on anymore.

Who am I play as in half those games, big boss or solid snake? Who's the main antagonist, why am I in Cuba in Ground Zeroes. What's the chronological order for the games. Where are the actual Metal Gears. What happened to the Russians. Where and who exactly is Ocelot.

So many questions. Metal Gear games were off my radar for a while. Especially after Snake Eater. I really really enjoyed the Tanker one (annoying that I can't remember the name.) because it was fairly simple, and Raidan was actually a human being and not a robot.

Big Boss explain pls. Cause Wikipedia and looking up shit didn't help lmao.

I know snake and big boss are clones...right?

SONS OF LIBERTY. That's what it was called. Just came to me
