You've never been high, how do you know?
wow

It's called hearing from other people's experiences. You stupid fuck.
I've explained to you that I'm in control of my faculties when high, is my experience not valid.

And please, with the name calling.
We're just having a cordial conversation.

Perception is reality friend, what's true for me may not be true for you.
Except there are universal truths, some of which are tarnished while being high. Which is absolutely unacceptable.
What universal truths might those be?
99% of things. Including math and logic, both of which are bent and debilitated while intoxicated under most given mind-altering substances.
I'd love to see your source
Common sense.

Do drugs get you high or not?

You've never been high, how do you know?

Don't you put that evil on me, Ricky Bobby.
We're all here because of you.
I am so close to getting him to change his opinion.
LOL
I'm glad you are having as much fun as I am.

"Truth is good, untruth is bad" is not a philosophy, it struggles to be a sentence.
You're right, it's not a philosophy--it's a tenet. A premise.

And you've yet to refute it.

Quote
If I were to refute your "philosophy" I'd say that a different way of looking at something isn't untrue, it's just different.
And therefore wrong.

Because there is only one way of looking at reality.

How the fuck is that a refutation.

Perception is reality friend, what's true for me may not be true for you.

You cannot possibly think there's only one way to look at any given situation.

That's why people have opinions.

Causing yourself pain and bouncing your brain around in your skull isn't fun in the slightest, there's no upside.
Hurr durr, that's just your opinion. There might be someone who disagrees with you. Why are you treating your opinion as a fact? Wow, you're so childish.
Quote
Like I said drugs aren't for everyone but it doesn't make others less intelligent for it.
Yes, it does. And I philosophically demonstrated why.

And you failed to refute it.

You're right, I've overstepped myself.
Some people enjoy hitting their heads on walls, at least according to the movies where insane asylum patients do so.

And no you haven't.
"Truth is good, untruth is bad" is not a philosophy, it struggles to be a sentence.

If I were to refute your "philosophy" I'd say that a different way of looking at something isn't untrue, it's just different.

You are really reaching now.
Uh, no. I'm not.

Have you seriously never seen a formally constructed philosophical argument before?... How old are you?

Quote
Let's say your right and being sober is objectively better, what's wrong with interrupting it with a little time being high?
*you're

Because that's time you could have spent sober. That's similar to asking, "Let's say you're right, and bashing your head against a wall before you go to bed isn't an intelligent thing to do. What's wrong with just doing it once?"

Well... Nothing?... But it's still fucking stupid, and I'm gonna tell you to stop if I see you doing it. Even though you're probably not gonna damage yourself in the long run, it's still stupid.

That's not even remotely close to a philosophical argument.

Yes, you are reaching.

Smoking marijuana is not akin to banging your head against a wall in the slightest.

Causing yourself pain and bouncing your brain around in your skull isn't fun in the slightest, there's no upside.

It sounds to me like you're afraid to experience these things, and that's ok.
Like I said drugs aren't for everyone but it doesn't make others less intelligent for it.

Never once stated that, thanks chief.

Where do personal attacks lay on your graph of logical fallacies?
It's called an ad hominem, but I can reword it into an actual argument if you're too stupid to do that yourself.

Reality is truth.
Truth has positive value; untruth has negative value.
Sobriety gives you an accurate picture of reality.
Intoxication gives you an untrue picture of reality.
Therefore, life spent sober is better than life spent intoxicated.
You are really reaching now.

Let's say your right and being sober is objectively better, what's wrong with interrupting it with a little time being high?

When I smoke weed I'm in control of all my faculties, it's an enhancer for me.
Needing drugs to work at full capacity is pretty pathetic, bro.

Never once stated that, thanks chief.

It does though
How?

The Flood / Re: Drugs n stuff

You opinion is backed by zero knowledge and a stubborn refusal to accept that you can be wrong, mine is backed by quantifiable evidence.
Drugs get you high.

That's knowledge.

Being sober is better, because you can control all your faculties, and you are perfectly conscious of everything.

That's also knowledge.

Unless you can show me a drug that doesn't get you high, no, you have nothing.

Getting high is kinda the point though.

When I smoke weed I'm in control of all my faculties, it's an enhancer for me.

When I take mushrooms I'm in control of all my faculties, shit looks trippy but I am aware that the grass isn't actually breathing.

Being sober is awesome and I would never work high or on shrooms, but that doesn't change the fact that being high is awesome too.

We get it, drugs are not for you, but it doesn't make me less intelligent because I enjoy doing them.

Thank you for admitting that "drugs are dumb" is your opinion. That's all I was after.
The difference is that my opinion is actually backed up by heavy substantiation and hard philosophy.

Yours is backed up by piss, shit, and nothing.
Someone's mad.

You opinion is backed by zero knowledge and a stubborn refusal to accept that you can be wrong, mine is backed by quantifiable evidence.

Everything you do in life carries risk.
You are far more likely to die from falling coconuts than from ingesting mushrooms.
I'd like to see your source for that.

Quote
Life is about risk/reward. For you the reward is not worth the risk, but again that is your opinion.
"That is your opinion" is not an argument. Show me why my opinion is wrong and why no one should agree with it.

Just because something can be dangerous doesn't inherently make it unintelligent. That's still your opinion, nothing objective about it.
Explain how it doesn't.

It most definitely is. Calling something stupid because you don't agree with it is childish.
I'm not calling it stupid because I don't "agree" with it, though. Recreational drug use has qualities that can be objectively described as unintelligent behavior. In fact, many things can be described as unintelligent behavior. There's nothing childish about it.

Bananas are better than apples. Prove me wrong fgt.

Unfair argument when the orange comes into play.

Good thing we didn't include oranges.
Delicious little orbs of fruit goodness.

A good argument always makes mention to other key players.

Not if those key players have the power to derail the argument.
You may mention kiwis to cement the argument, but never oranges.

Holy shit are you kidding me?
That show is excellent.
fucking eww
only kids and foreigners find it funny
I just so happen to be foreign, y'all talk funny.
Nobody in Britain likes Little Britain.
Little kids don't count because they don't even understand what they're watching.
The show was recommended to me from a Brit. Although technically it was just the one sketch.
He's obviously an idiot then
No argument there, I blame it on the drugs.
