You know what they say about blanket statements.

And literally nothing changed
Bayer is a great company, I won't have you dragging their good name through the mud because of an unfounded belief that GMOs are harmful.
Yeah, you can't make a blanket statement that all of something is bad.

Some GMOs have only very slight changes, which don;t impact nutritional value at all.
all of agent orange is bad
all of heroin is bad
all of GMOs are bad
Agent orange and heroin are specific chemicals.

Genetically modified organisms could be literally anything.
I'm obviously referring to Monsanto GMOs which are specifically designed to keep the populace weak and dependent
It's okay Lex Luthor neutralized that remember?
well he obviously didn't finish the job because monsanto is still around
Yeah, obviously Monsanto is shit but people just rallying around  GMOS ARE BAD is damaging research into helpful and healthy genetic modification, and stunting the development of medicine based off of genetic modification.
in general they are

money being put into generic modification should be going someplace better anyway
Genetically modified bacteria can replace vaccines and antibiotics in the future if we would just stop being unfoundedly afraid.
not worth it

we should focus on real medicine and not genetically modified shit
Why does genetically modifying something make it bad?
it's a slippery slope, and it sets the precedent that general genetic modification (food, water) is perfectly acceptable
Why isn't it acceptable?

Also, there's no such thing as genetically modified water.
because you can sneak harmful chemicals into food in the guise of making the crop yield more effective. Literally exactly what Monsanto does. We should just ban the practice so that bullshit has no chance of happening.
I don't really think you understand genetic modification.

To sneak a chemical into something you can just water it with that chemical.
To sneak it into medicine, you can just put it in, nobody would even notice in all likelihood.

When you modify the genome, you create a new organism, different from the last.
This organism has traits that can differ from the last in any way.

You don't put all that effort into something you could do with an irrigation pump.
So while they could make chemically addictive apples that produce an opiate by splicing poppy genes into an apple tree, why wouldn't they just water the tree with heroin water?

Then, the apples can still be marketed as 'Organic' too.

Genetic modification has so many more bonuses than contractions.
You don't understand genetic modification. It's an evil process that has no place in the modern world.
That sounds like a blanket statement.

Did you actually just compare my wealth to Bill Gates?

Oh man, I hope whatever school has taken you in will teach you a bit better on how this all works.

You're right about one thing, this isn't worth arguing over, not on here.
I think he was doing the opposite.

Saying wealthy is used to describe people like the Gates and the Hiltons.

And FYI chally, my mother used to be married to a very important USMC Colonel with a seven figure salary, and we lived in a Waikiki beach house.

His daughter still worked because they felt like it was important, not because she had to.

I'd say winter begins November 20th, spring begins March 1st, and summer begins June 1st
but why
because that's how the fucking months work

december is cold and winterlike, google image search "december" and see if you see leaves and turkeys or snow and christmas trees
but didn't you just say it has nothing to do with the weather
it has to do with the months and what they represent

I'm pretty sure it's a climate change andbiological response to that change in many organisms caused by a 23.5o tilt of the Earth's axis, which has absolutely nothing to do with what humans make up the keep track of time.
dude go to google images and punch in december

Cool.

That doesn't address the fact that seasons are a scientific concept derived from the way physics works and not to line up with holidays.

I mean, if I type star in on google I get a five pointed thing instead of balls of plasma. That doesn't suddenly mean a star is now a five sided cartoon drawing.
stars arent months dude wtf

I'll put it in simple terms for the scientifically illterate then.

type in december on google gives public perception of it, not what it actually is

type in star on google gives public perception of it, not what it actually is

There is no correlation between winter and december. In fact, over thousands of years, the seasons shift and eventually winter will take place in june. Because they're a thing derived from the way a big rock spins and are not in nice and easy units for human convenience.
lmao what

months arent in space

Okay, time for stuff I learnt when I was 10.

The Earth tilts towards the sun, meaning as it rotates, certain oarts face closer towards the sun than others. When the northern hemisphere (Europe, America, most of Asia) faces, it is summer. When it is further away, it is winter, because there is less heat. The only reason the seasons are predictable at all are because we have a large natural satellite keeping the tilt and rotation stable.

This effect has absolutely nothing to do with the calender. It is a completely separate entity that isn't there to be in convenient groupings of December 1st to March 31st, or whatever. Calenders exist to help us keep track of time, the seasons exist becauseof the way physics works. They are two seperate entities that don't correlate with each other.

It astounds me that you don't know something which is taught to kids in primary school. This is shit I knew when I was 9, 10 years old.
Earth doesn't tilt toward the sun, It's tilted in a specific direction that is sometimes toward the sun.
Also, the earth doesn't rotate and revolve, it rolls.

The earth is rolling along the sun's gravity, at the rate approximately of one degree per full rotation.
The discrepancy which adds a few days comes from the earth's tilt, which is maintained by the moon.

The earth follows an elliptical pattern because when the tilt is not directed toward the sun it is not forced as far out.
lmao you just confirmed you have no idea what you're talking about

calendars don't represent time, they are time

before calendars and clocks time wasn't even a thing
Time is dimensionally present as part of the spacetime continuum, which does not refer to some flashy blue vortex wormhole, it literally just means the invisible fabric that creates effects like gravity.

It can be traversed upon just like any of the other three dimensions of the spacetime continuum.

Therefore, time is, in the strictest sense of the word, real.

maybe during the summer, but its not uncommon to get sub 30 degree (F) temperatures during the winter
I don't know what California you're talking about but that's pretty uncommon.
