Yeah I get the feeling I am, too.  But I don't know what kind of restrictions they put on autists.  I just want the gibs, frankly
Free license to be an asshole would be nice too.

•It's an inevitability.

Why? Because HL2 ended on a cliff hangar?

What it will be is a disappointment, and that is what no one's expecting.

Oh if it ever got announced, it would be fairly obvious it will be a massive pile of hog shit. There's no way you can meet the expectations of over a decade of delusional hype.
Because the story is already written.

At some point it will leak if it never gets officially released.

Nothing stays buried forever.

New Half-Life IP already confirmed; HL3's story has been written for years...

A new IP in the same universe as Half-Life isn't the same as having a new Half-Life game.

Quote
Clearly Valve is invested in the universe, and at some point, even if they never release a new game, Gordon Freeman's fate will be announced.

Wishful thinking.
•Why I said Half-life and related IPs in the OP. I'm chomping at the bit for more insight into the universe, not necessarily for a third Half-Life.
•It's an inevitability.

The last Eva film needs to come out.

Half-Life and related IPs needing resolution.

I'll never understand why people continue to think Half Life will ever be concluded.

Revisionist history for the sake of making minorities feel included is stupid.

that's not what's happening here. it's important for youth minorities to see their demographic in important and/or powerful positions. that's all.
It's nonfact being depicted as fact.

They're going to learn about Africa in school too, there's no reason to jam black people into Celtic history.

oh my god who cares. there's a good reason for it.

keep crying.
There really isn't.

It just teaches kids falsities and covers up real positive African history like the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe.

Instead of talking about the unique accomplishments of Africans it just chalks it up to, "We can do everything white people can do." which is a sad way to approach cultural history.

What is wrong with it?

presumably the issue is that they're inserting black people into places they didn't exist
Revisionist history for the sake of making minorities feel included is stupid.

Those cultures all have their own chapters in history, and in a way, pretending black people and white people share a history is a worse form of whitewashing than inserting white people into their history.

It robs these cultures of their identity at the most basic levels, destroying any vestige of their heritage.

bad drugs tho, dph sucks for almost anything
you say "bad drugs" as though there are good drugs
Drugs helped me lose 80 pounds and gives me energy to go to the gym for longer.
This is a bad thing, because you should've had the strength to do it without drugs.
The ends always justify the means.
Never.
And that, kids, is where the spineless philosophy "It would be better if everyone died." comes from.

The only thing that matters is what's next. If you get caught in the moment, you're just in everyone else's way.

For the MP is it going to be like Halo 3 where you're matched up with people who are close to your rank? It's bullshit that a level one person is getting matched up against someone who has hours invested into the game. In CoD it's one thing due to the starting weapons be decent enough for you to defend yourself and you're health is the same as everyone else, but in Destiny you're screwed.
No.

There will never be level based matchmaking.

The current matchmaking algorithms prioritize connection, and second on the list is skill.
Getting level cap in Destiny is not that hard, and if you feel like you're at a disadvantage, you should just finish the campaign. Level based matchmaking would just encourage people to make new characters to wreck the shit out of new players.

Although, the gun you start Destiny 1 with wrecked during the AR meta in year 1.
It was good enough that they made an exotic version, that with very similar stats holds up in year 3.

Really, Lv 1s are more than capable of killing Lv 40s, and if better, rarer guns didn't give you an advantage, however slight it honestly is, there would be no point to playing the Crucible.

Gaming / Re: Freeman's Mind 2 - Episode 3 is out.

The coolest thing about this series is just the amount of logic that Ross puts into it. It's not always perfect, but the attention to detail he puts into Gordon's actions (and even his mannerisms) is really something else.

Most Half-Life 2 players are accustomed to shooting explosive barrels near enemies, because in the game, it's an efficient way to kill them. And it's really fun.

But in this latest episode, Gordon seems to actively avoid doing that—which may not be satisfying from a gameplay standpoint, but it's perfectly logical. In real life, if someone's pointing a gun at their head, and you have a gun too, why would you shoot at some barrels with explosives in them? You don't know how big the explosion is gonna be.

It's the added touches like that that made me fall in love with this series.

He also seems to avoid health pickups, it was weird watching through the first series and he just skips shit.

He also unequips his weapon when picking things up.
Pretty sure he plays in God mode and has equip nothing macro'd.

Gaming / Re: PS+ prices rising in UK/EU/AU

It's as if Sony wants to start selling systems for MS, what's great is that Sony will blame other people for lost sales and not themselves. Unless you're into interactive movies, what reason is there in getting a PS4? Sony has hardly any online exclusives and the ones they due have are mediocre, there is no backwards compatibility and the PS2 thing is nothing more than overpriced re-releases and now the online is getting an increase in some countries which may be everywhere as well.
I kind of get the feeling that if Microsoft actually wins the console wars and drives Sony out of the game industry, they're just gonna say gg and make the next Xbox a literal PC designed to be used in your living room (like something MSI put out recently).

Xbox OS will just be a distribution of Windows built to be used solely with a controller, but you can use a keyboard and mouse if you want (Xbox is adding mouse support already).

You can still download and play your games on the Xbox store easily, but now you can play any other PC games and even install Steam too.

Basically, if Xbox wins, consoles are over forever.

seeing spiders?
You know, I never see anything.

I just get cotton-mouth and paranoia, along with a body high that fills me with this peace. Like the nightmares lurking just out of view don't matter, because my body is numb and I am disappeared.

It's a sharply contrasting high that I actually really like.

Also it can stop your heart so don't do it.

Used correctly it can do a lot for a person.
