Sports are a great way to stay in shape and bond with your friends.

It doesn't surprise me people from sep7agon dislike that 😂👌
I think this thread is about professional sports.

Playing sports is, as I've said before, more rewarding than video games.
Watching sports is a colossal waste of time and I can't of anything I'd like to do less.

They kill people all over the world.

Why would they abstain from killing the people who they have the most direct access to?

Probably because she has a penis.

The next phase is civil war.
Nobody in this thread has grasped the gravity of this until just here.

Spain essentially has to choose between squashing rebellion and just letting Catalonia secede.

You can't just pretend something like that didn't happen and go on governing them, despite what everyone ITT seems to think.

Fucking tinfoil hat wearers in this thread...

Gun control may well prevent some deaths overall, but at the end of the day, a person like this is going to get a gun if they want it. Besides that, no doubt the gun he used was illegal. That isn't a semi-auto.

Tinfoil hats act more like satellite dishes than Faraday cages.

I think it's funny how Clinton grossly overestimates the effects of a suppressor on an automatic, .30 caliber weapon.
If they'd had silencers, the shooter could have picked off everyone in the crowd one by one and nobody ever would have known it had happened until the staff changed shifts.

Obviously.
yeah and also rather than people saying "i think i've been shot", the suppressor would have used the sound waves stored inside to propel the bullet at even higher speeds, killing the targets instantly just like in the movies, thus making the kill count at least 400
even if they didn't die instantly, the silence inside the bullet would spread through the target and make it impossible to hear them scream

I get your point, but you forget the lobbying power of the NRA. They'll make sure nothing happens.
Nah. HPA/SHARE act is gonna die on the floor now and I'll expect some new form of the Clinton era AWB to be drafted up for when Democrats take the congressional majority back in the midterm elections.

NRA is still wishy-washy in their leadership on the whole black rifle thing too.
Black rifle thing? What's that? And I'm surprised they're even trying to pass silencers as easier to get. Like why?
Where two weapons identical in function are deemed either okay or dangerous based solely on how scary they appear to be.

Also, if it's the will of the people to get silencers, it's the government's job to do nothing inhibiting that.

y’all talking about gun control when we don’t even know anything about the gun lol
It's no secret the democrats want to disarm the Americans.
It's a staple of Big Government to make the people not only unable to oppose them, but altogether dependent on them.

Even without gun control, the people of the US are already fucked.

Thanks, Obama.

Alls I sees is two similar games that are both making money, and which you've just told me one changed to emulate the other.

If that's not cashing in, I'm not sure I know what cashing in is.

Warframe didn't try to emulate Destiny, though. They just happen to be similar.

But even if they did emulate Destiny, it's still a free-to-play game that you don't have to spend a dime on, and it does what it sets out to do better than Bungie does. So, it's still not cashing-in.
You say it didn't used to be like Destiny, but as the game got older, it became more like it.

As I've said, I don’t really know anything but what I've been told about Warframe, but drawing conclusions isn't hard here.

Someone cashing in on something doesn't have anything to do with what the end user may or may not spend.

Facebook is free, but they're sure as shit cashing in on people's desire to broadcast themselves.

The question isn't, "Am I spending money?", it's, "Are they making money?"

That doesn't have to be a negative accusation, so there's really no reason to get up in arms about the fact that someone is cashing in on a fad.

I genuinely do wonder if anything will change about gun control laws now. Probably not, but we'll see.
If 20 school kids dying doesn't change it, don't expect random concert goers will
Nobody died at Sandy Hook except a young man we're meant to believe was called Adam Lanza.

The more info I see about this dude, the less any of it makes sense.

It's fuckin sandy hook all over again, except this time people actually died. Guess the anti-gun lobby decided they actually needed to one-up the Port Arthur massacre this time. GG Sarah Brady, your people finally did it.
I mean, yeah, no shit the FBI is behind this.

Tell me about the shooter.
Spoiler
Why does he wear the mask?

Also that artstyle makes me want to throw up. It's stylised and animated well but now I know how people feel regarding Warframe.
But Warframe is a shit game though that tried to cash in on the Destiny hype

>cash-in
>free to play
They're making money somehow.

they cant cash in on another game's hype if its free
Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean they aren't making money.

I don't know how much more clear that can be made, and frankly I don't think repeating myself is going to help you figure it out.

they only make money if you're enjoying the game via buying platinum -- something you wouldn't do if you're just waiting for destiny to be released. if you spent money on warframe during that time, i'd say the game transitioned from riding on the rails of destiny to forming its own source of interest within players.

the point i'm trying to make is that warframe, especially in its early days, was so distinctly different from what it is today that it could hardly be called a destiny lookalike. today's game could be, but not 1.0
Buddy, I don't know shit about shit, but people often ask me why I play Destiny when I could just play Warframe.

Alls I sees is two similar games that are both making money, and which you've just told me one changed to emulate the other.

There is literally nothing hypocritical or asinine about it.

You don't need video games, so you shouldn't get them for free.

You need food, so you should get it for free. Not complicated.
Self actualization is the apex of Mazlow's hierarchy of needs, though.
the idea behind the hierarchy of needs is that you can only achieve self-actualization once all the other needs have been fulfilled, starting with basic physiological needs (food clothing shelter) at the very bottom, not because they're the least important, but because they're the most important

but i'm sure you understand that, which makes your response confusing

Yeah I'm pretty tired and just meant it to be smarmy. I concur that video games should not be free; I'm more concerned with the compensation of the creator than the payment of the user, if that makes sense at all.
When it comes down to it though, the vast majority of pirates would sooner go without altogether than pay for what they're downloading.

So, from a material standpoint, the result nets zero.

But is that because they already have the luxury of easy access to that free content? It's easy to say, "I only pirate what I wouldn't buy", but if you removed piracy as a means to get games, how many do you think would fall back to finding deals online, like CD keys, steam, Humble Bundle, etc.? How many do you think would outright just accept paying full price to continue their favorite hobby? Probably a large percentage.
I don't know about that.
The torrenting community is strange, to say the least.

There's almost something lackadaisical to their consumption of media. It's a lot like shopping at the dollar store. Like, "I'm here for whatever's getting seeded today, mainly because I'm bored."

At the end of the day there's an ocean of content that's free by design, and pirates would probably just turn there.

A large number never actually money to spend anyway, so they're not buying anything.

I'm not saying piracy is positive, but it's often altogether benign.

Serious / Re: So for real, what do you see happening with North Korea
« on: October 02, 2017, 05:18:02 AM »
Probably nothing but if Trump were to take out North Korea now then globalists couldn't use North Korea to start WWIII in the future.
>takes out NK
>ignite a Pacific war
Nah, China isn't ready nor willing to start a war against the US over North Korea.
Who's talking about China?
It wouldn't be a Pacific war then.
It is if Japan and South Korea are involved.

I mainly meant that in reference to China going to war with the US, anyway; and out of curiousity, why would China not be willing to risk intervention in the face of millions of refugees entering the country due to a conflict instigated by the US? Not to say China would immediately retaliate, but I'd say intervening in the conflict would make sense from the Chinese perspective.
It doesn't matter.

People talk frivolously of war, but scarcely of peace.

The ultimate resolution in the Koreas is opening communication and trade between the sovereign pair, and slowly but surely conditions will become better for Northern  citizens.

Unification is a distant dream and an unlikely outcome at this point, the best we can hope for is the reinstatement of trust.
