People don't do that unless property rights are poorly defined. A capitalist isn't going to deplete the stocks of his fish-farm when they're his most stable source of revenue; instances like this only occur when the lake is communal property and a bunch of fishermen are competing for the biggest catches.
It doesn't happen much anymore, but it was a huge problem before the environmentalist movement when people weren't aware of things like that. I mean even in Brazil today the people are still cutting down trees far faster than they're growing. Unless they plan on giving up with the logging industry, it'll likely collapse in the future and a lot of Brazilians are going to lose a lot of money.

Capitalism is only fucked when governments don't stop people from unsustainably exploiting natural resources. Capitalism relies off people to tend towards their best interests but when they're not smart enough to do that, then the theory fails. Which is why I believe a system that relies off both human greed and human ignorance is the best route to take (i.e. technocracy).
