That's actually the most common personality type engineers have (I know because I had to take this test a couple days ago for a class and I got the same result). I'm thinking maybe I might want to shift my focus to biomedical engineering dealing with neurology rather than just doing research.

We can try to recreate life: but not the origin of life.
It's already happened. We won't have another "origin of life".
Even if there are mass extinctions, they aren't TOTAL extinctions where ALL LIFE is wiped out.

We can't observe, therefore recreate and perform experiments on the origin of life.
So how do you know it was a god that created the origin of life?

That's the point.
They touched on this, then that was it.
No more religious discussion.

But it's true, we can't recreate the origin of life.
Umm just because it hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be done. Life is not easy to create, it would require a very complex structure at its most basic level. Life on earth took the entire ocean and millions of years to start. A few labs with in a matter of decades wouldn't seem to be sufficient. Anyway, the point is that 'hasn't happened' =/= 'can't happen.'

Literally no philosophy class I've ever taken actually discusses stuff. Invariably they only talk about The great philosophers, and the big concepts. Oddly, they do not encourage independent thought.
When I was in Sapphire, Harlow used to talk about his philosophy class was God has no evidence.

I wouldn't agree with that.
It's a pretty different kind of hatred, and I don't think it's alright to make that comparison.
Well whether you like it or not, there's a parallel that comes into place when you see a new group of people fighting for equal treatment every fifty years in this country.

That's the difference between me and the modern social justice movement in the west. It LOOKS for oppression and suppression when it is not there, and DEMANDS that I behave and think in a manner fitting with it's ideals.
I'm assuming you're talking about feminism? I think you'd agree that there's at least some amount of oppression when it comes to atheists, gays, and Muslims (or for you, American Muslims).

Quote
The modern social justice movement is pretty fucking far removed from the people who wanted everyone to be treated equally and women to be acknowledged as human beings. Can you honestly compare third-wave feminism with fucking MLK?
The scale isn't the same. The way blacks were treated back then is far worse than how gays are treated today.

Quote
What I think justice is? Equal standards and treatment for all. No excuses, no bullshit. Women and men should be held up to the same standards of behavior and intelligence, regardless of color or genetic makeup. No special treatment for anyone.
The only thing I would disagree with there is the 'no special treatment for anyone' part. I'm just going to give the glaringly obvious example of handicapped people and let you think on it.

I think the point is that most people who fit the stereotype are a lot like Jay.
Here is the point I'm trying to make: it's not. Most of the social justice community are nothing like Jay. I know that you know not to blanket reason that one individual's beliefs represent an entire communities, so you shouldn't do it here.

There's this really nice, pretty girl who's kind of quiet (quiet in the sense that she's soft spoken not unconversatable) who went to my high school and goes to college with me. Honestly, she has the right personality that I'd really like to live with until we get old and die. She seems to like me, at least as a friend, but there's complications. She has this really fat and unattractive boyfriend that I met at prom. He seems to be a nice guy, but she can do so much better and it hurts me to see it. I guess it's not really a huge crush, I don't really seem to have feelings for her, but she has the right personality for me and she's also very pretty.

There's a difference between people like MLK and Jay. MLK fought for actual justice due to restrictions like segregation and the constant harassment, as well as criminal actions, against the black community

Jay on the other hand is fighting something that doesn't exist as the concept of "privileges" is a falsified term which makes a poor and discriminatory assumption about a person based soleyof their color, sexuality, religion, or gender and not their character or personality. A poor white male will ALWAYS have a shittier life than a a rich black male but Jay wants you to think that the white guy is still "privileged"
Do you really think Jay is leader of social justice or do you think she is just another internet blogger with emotional distress and opinions?

Look, it seems like you guys have been in a constant battle against "evil feminazis" and JayTheNerdKid recently. Even though I thought it was obvious, and even though I know you're already aware of the concept, you guys still continue to have this blanket reasoning where you find the most radical opinion on feminism on the internet and use it to spew uneducated garbage about how SJWs are trolls and retards even though seemingly everything you know about the topic comes from 4chan trolling. Some of you are just retarded like Door, and others I'm not really sure where you stand, but I believe there are a few of you out there that have simply been blown in the wrong direction due to the sour culture of the forum (no offense Cheat).

Honestly, I don't think anyone who uses term 'feminazi' actually even understands what social justice is. You guys should really stop babbling on about how 'all people are given equal treatment' or how 'straight white men are oppressed' because you are unaware that you are only acting out in self defense of your own social demographic and you're clearly not trying to better the world in any way, shape, or form.

It's also annoying how you're under the impression that the entirety of Tumblr is somehow taken over by feminists even though Tumblr is just another social blogger site that millions of people use for plenty of different reasons. Or worse, it's annoying how you guys seem to think that Tumblr encompasses the entire social justice movement even though it's been going on since the beginning of civilization (you may have heard of Ghandi, MLK, George Takei, and plenty of other historical figures).

So ITT, I'd like you to please tell what you think social justice is. Extra points goes to anyone who can elaborate on why they're wrong and how they're going to stop acting like whiny, uneducated Middle Schoolers who think society treats all people equal.

That sounds like a stupidly broken system, especially considering the insane cost of higher education in the US.
Well that's why I'm considering the armed forces.
