Absolutely disgusting. I would not want to sit in church with a sinner.

Nice subtle hate thread on paraplegics. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The Flood / Why do we sit down?
« on: October 14, 2014, 06:57:27 AM »
I mean for society as a whole, we do we do it? It just makes everyone like they're fat. Even muscular people are turned into lazy couch potatoes when they sit down. And fat people become exponentially more fat. I think everyone but skinny people are victimized by the act of sitting down. But then again, even some skinny people form a gut when they sit down.

I'm thinking on starting a movement, to end sitting down in the workplace and in school. Does anyone want to join? We can really help society out a lot by not looking as fat as we do when we sit.

That book is useless. Real knowledge comes from experience.

« on: October 13, 2014, 09:36:55 PM »
Someone made a similar thread like this, but about tips to get girls, about a few years ago. Each step was slightly more obvious than the last, and it took me until the very end to realize it was bad advice. IIRC, the last one told us not to make eye contact with women. And even then I had to think about it until I realized it was a joke.

God I was so socially awkward back then.

Just when I thought we were finally getting along.

You no longer have the right to call me "Deci"

You lost that right. Each time you call me Deci I'll-

*thinks for a minute*

I won't help you when you really need help the most.
You're objectively pretty cringey though.

Say that to me in person and I'll snap your neck off.
Seeing as threats are technically illegal, you could potentially get banned and arrested for that post.

I honestly doubt the NRA is responsible for the gridlock in Washington and their inability to elect a surgeon general. The surgeon general is only a political position to communicate issues to the public, they don't actually do anything relating to containing the virus.

The Flood / Thread-post percentage
« on: October 13, 2014, 06:48:40 PM »
I've created 257 threads (not including this one) and made 1817 posts.

Statistically put, about 14% of all my posts are threads.

How many of your posts are threads? I'm going to guess I have the highest percentage here.

The Flood / What kind of haircut do you have?
« on: October 13, 2014, 06:45:15 PM »
Thank God my hair is straight, only a small few people can pull off curly hair. But yeah I usually just let it grow a short length and kick it off to the side a bit. Although tomorrow morning I'm going to try putting some gel in it and seeing how that works.

What do you guys do with your hair?

Get a job?
I'm afraid I'd probably have to do that in order to pay for the bills. I'd really rather just focus on college, but I may have to that if something happened.
Get a job through college? Do they not have any Co-op programs in place?
They do, it's just that I'd have to commit a sizable portion of my study time to it. I'm taking four hard STEM courses plus a lab and one philosophy course, factoring in that I do not live on campus and I have to commute, it wouldn't be easy.
During summertime?
I guess so. I am going to be taking Summer classes though... stupid engineering major.

My grandma's cancer returned
Are you able to cook?
If it can be microwaved, yes!

At first I was like :( but then I was like
I mean financially. Who would pay the bills? How would I be able to pay for college? What happens to the house?

Even though I know it's unhealthy, I've learned beating yourself up is the best possible way to damage control reality. I'm generally not this cold to other human beings.

I only have one last relative left, aside from my mom whom I live with, that lives within a thousand miles of me (my grandmother), but both my mom and my grandma are having health problems. My grandma's cancer returned and she has about a year left to live, even with chemotherapy (please do not mistake me for asking for sympathy; grandmas die all the time and I'm almost an adult now). My mom is having sporadic heart murmurs due to a genetic condition that gives certain members of my family an odd heartbeat. My mom is also fairly heavy and borderline diabetic which makes the heart murmurs increasingly more potent of causing a heart attack. And because they're random, it may happen when no one is around to help, which is essentially how my father died. I might be an adult by then, but I have no idea how I'd deal with all of that. I'm not talking emotionally here, I mean financially. Who would pay the bills? How would I be able to pay for college? What happens to the house?

Anyway there isn't much to discuss here I'm just letting out some stress. I'm sure most of you have it far harder than I and you're just laughing right now reading this.

Either way, keep it out of serious.

By all means post a Creationism discussion thread, but one where you claim that dinosaur bones were hidden there to confuse people is not worth even responding to.
I think it's a perfectly rational stance to have.
