When someone goes to see a doctor, the national insurance program pays 70 percent of the bill.

As an American, I'm having trouble seeing how that is different from socialized healthcare. What is different from the systems in other European countries? Are all doctors in Britain actually directly employed by the government or something like that?
Think of it like a government subsidization. So it's like... semi-socialized.

* C cup rack or larger, nothing less!
* Brown hair

* Slightly tanned skin
* Thick thighs
* Medium size booty (it's a turn off when her booty is too big IMO)
They have to have all of that?

Weeeell shit .-.

I was sceptical as hell because usually massive algae blooms result in killing off a lot of the other fauna/flora but perhaps that only applies to closed water regions (lakes/ponds) <.<
Well any alteration you make always has other unintended following consequences, which is why scientists don't like it when these decisions are made without consulting them first.

just because it can in theory.
I wouldn't even agree to that.
Well not that is solves everything, but rather best solves everything.
I'd still disagree. Markets don't factor in externalities.

Although I suppose you could argue consumers would do that in an ideal market. Which is why I really don't care for the "theory" of economics in the first place.
Does that mean there is no way to completely abandon democracy in a capitalist economy? Well fuck.

Good to see you've finally sought reason that God is of necessary existence in our universe.

The story here shows that the private can make the right decisions, at times, but you can't mislead yourself to believe that the private always makes the economical, right choice, and that the government is an unnecessary intrusion.
What does that have to do with anything in this thread?

Or was it just a general, tangential observation?
I'm saying that the private sector usually makes good, economical decisions, (like dumping iron-sulphate to restore fish population) but not always. I know you're not completely against government action, but I was just making the point that you shouldn't come to the conclusion that the private sector can solve everything, just because it can in theory.

In theory it makes sense how the private sector can most effectively solve all our problems, but when you dive into it you see that people don't always make the right choice, however uneconomical the choice may be. In theory, you'd expect a corporation that abuses its workers to go out of business due to either under employment or public refusal to buy and use their services, but clearly these problems still exist in places where government action hasn't been taken. Point is, there's necessary non-private involvement in the economy to solve the problems that the spenders and businessmen can't resolve themselves. The story here shows that the private can make the right decisions, at times, but you can't mislead yourself to believe that the private always makes the economical, right choice, and that the government is an unnecessary intrusion.

Good sir, I assure you that I am neither of those things.
Were you at one point?
Still in the Guard.
Yeah but you're not a real soldier though
Ouch my pride...
Wait... I don't have any pride to hurt.
You're not put on the front lines though?
There is no "front line", everyone deploys. Everyone does their part to keep the machine moving. Services will be at the same deployed location right next security forces. They will get mortared at night just as the security forces will. Vehicle Operator's run caravans and don't shoot at people. They're escorts might. But an IED doesn't care if you're armed or not. You think only armed men and women were eating in the tent that could bombed out because of an informant? No, many different personnel, many without combat roles ate in that tent.

I have a technical job, and I will deploy. It doesn't matter. Everyone deploy, especially guard.
I understand that, but the most typical view of soldier is the guy in the tank or the helicopter.

Israel is attacked on all fronts and all you people can do is yell at them every time they fuck up. Haven't they been through enough holocausts already?
Did you miss the quasi-shitstorm I caused when I quite explicitly and absolutely came out in favour of the Israelis over Hamas?
Wait what? People are in favor of a terrorist group over Israel?

I will say one thing though, the influence of the Israeli lobby on the U.S. is disgusting.
hurr durr holocaust never happened the jews are evil greedy bankers not oppressed minorities
I know you're mocking the zionist conspiracy theorist types, and I'm with you on that, but

1. Are you trying to downplay how serious the Israeli lobby is?

2. Are you implying Jews are somehow oppressed in the west?

Because if the answer to either of those is yes, I'm going to have to laugh at you
1. Israel is simply just asking for help because they are constantly attacked by mooslims.

2. Yes, they are oppressed. Stop being a bigot.
