I'm not overly familiar w/ it but I think it's just that a fluctuation event in the vacuum is what caused the initial inflation from whatever initial vacuum state existed before our Universe as we know it. In quantum field theory the vacuum actually possesses a non-zero energy and this could have fluctuated in accord w/ quantum probability. . .I think. Like I said I'm not overly familiar w/ it.
Here's a stupid side question I have because I'm really uneducated on physics, if the fundamental forces are a constant, active application of force, doesn't that mean they're supplied by an unlimited amount of energy, seeing as you need energy to create force?

Burden of proof lies on the claimant; to claim that god doesn't exist requires substantiation. However, that's not what typical atheists believe, which is that there simply isn't evidence to believe in the existence of a god.

Wouldn't they simply be Agnostic then?

Agnostics don't think there's sufficient evidence to take either side; they neither disbelieve nor believe. It's kind of wishy-washy. Atheists do not believe in god because there isn't evidence. They disbelieve, but don't make a positive claim that there is no god.
What would you call someone if they didn't believe in God and were 100% positive that he wasn't real?

A liar.
Wait what? Really? Please explain

If someone claimed to have substantial proof that god didn't exist, I would call them a liar.
In as much as someone who claimed to have proof of god?

Maybe. I think it'd be substantially easier to prove god exists if he does than to prove he doesn't exist if he doesn't. Does that make sense?
Well you can't do much to prove a negative, so I guess so

Door
Now what if you're aware that you can't technically know, but you don't want to mislead people by creating the bias that there's an equally good chance of god's existence as is his nonexistence, considering the vast amount of possibilities and the fact that god's existence would have to override generally all our laws of physics?

God's an asshole. He could prevent miscarriages, but instead lets it happen.
What a buthurt supreme fedora tipper
Is today 4Chan buzzword day?
If he can prevent miscarriages, but doesn't, that makes him a twat.
Somebody doesn't have the comprehension to read my explanation. Death=/=bad. Jesus sacrificed himself to save ALL life. A fetus IS a life and therefor it is saved. The child gets a one-way ticket to Heaven where they don't have to experience hostile human nature in life. Probably the best thing that can happen to a person
So if you and all your family were to die tomorrow, it'd be the best thing that could ever happen to you and them?

That's just straight fucked up logic you've got there. I hope all religious people aren't this deranged.
You seriously have a reading comprehension issue I can see. Do you have down-syndrome or something?

I said a miscarriage is the best thing because the child goes to Heaven. It won't have to live a life experiencing what human nature is. Where the hell did I even bring up me and my family? Lol, you're seriously pathetic
I don't even...
A child dying before birth is a terrible thing to happen and absolutely isn't better than it never having the chance to live.
You're seriously fucking deranged if you think a miscarriage is a good thing to happen at all, and I hope nobody else is as mentally backwards as you.
If you got your wife/girlfriend pregnant, would you be happy if she were to have a miscarriage?
To both you and Kinder, take the word miscarriage and replace it w/ abortion.
That's different because it's murder.
According to Kinder's reasoning it's still the best thing for the child, they go to heaven w/o having to experience bad shit.

In fact, allow me to apply some fucked up utilitarian logic to this situation. If Kinder's logic is to be believed then we should be conceiving and aborting in insane numbers because this would only increase the number of souls in heaven and therefor the total amount of wellbeing/happiness. After which we could all just pray for forgiveness on our deathbeds.
God is all forgiving, yes, but he's also all merciful. A mass murderer can't just say 'I'm sorry' at the very end of his life and expect to go to Heaven. And yes, an aborted baby does go to Heaven, and that's a good thing, but it's not the best thing. As a religious scientist, you can simply work out most of these issues in your head. Really, it's not that hard for anyone else claiming to be a scientist or engineer to do.
First of all, I never claimed to be a scientist or engineer, I'm working on it but I've got a long way to go.

>all forgiving
>all merciful

It's these sort of absolute statements that cause anything you people believe to be hopelessly contradictory.

Did I not say I was going by Kinder's logic? He said and I quote

The bottom line is that you're not going to understand God until you first believe in him, hence why you'll die an atheist and never go to Heaven. I'll pray for you, but that only goes so far.
"You must believe in it for it to work."

Words uttered by every snake oil salesman and charlatan ever. Forgive me if I'm entirely unconvinced or impressed.
If God isn't real then what made the universe?
I DON'T KNOW! I don't know if we ever will.

And I'm perfectly fine w/ that fact. That doesn't mean I don't want to find out and that doesn't mean I don't think we have a decent idea of where to start.

Pls stop rusing me.
So gravity huh? You can't technically prove the graviton exists, but you know it's there. Is that not any different from believing in God?
>mfw I drop any object and it reacts just as predicted by gravitational theory

Do any of you believe the theory that the reason we have any mass and energy in the universe is because there's an equal amount of positive mass and positive energy as there is negative mass and negative energy that split apart during the Big Bang? And I got this from Lawrence Krauss, so don't bitch at me for coming up with more pseudo scientific bullshit.

What's easier for you to understand? Abstract math or spatial/visual logical problems? I'd come up with examples to better explain myself, but I don't want you to answer the question based on the examples I come up with (if that makes any sense). I used to be much more mathematical, but as I've grown up I've become better with logic problems. Although recently I've been trying to get back onto the math side of things by researching some abstract math, but I don't know, how is math for you guys?
