I just disagree with your criteria for winning a debate, to be honest. I fully agree with the idea that you shouldn't presume to have convinced the other person of your position, however legitimate, and you shouldn't think getting the last word equals victory.

But yeah, other than that I pretty much agree.

What exactly is your criteria for having won a debate?

On a side note, I'll admit that sometimes I just get lazy and stop replying, but often times I stop replying because the other guy is just being irrational (Like challenger not understanding the mathematical concept that technological growth cannot exponentially increase forever. You can argue the amount and by when it will slow down, but it will always inevitably slow and stop.).
