But how could they see anything above the shadows if they weren't allowed to move their heads?!
I'm dumd today. I should probably get this reference but I'm drawing blanks.
I think it's called the Cave Analogy, it's supposed to represent how people start out as manipulable non-thinking sheep and eventually become enlightened as they step out of the cave.

I only know this crap because I'm taking philosophy right now.

Nice! I thought you were gonna do something related to neuroscience or somethin' though? Or are you just taking it on the side?
It's part of my general education requirements. And actually I'm no longer doing neuroscience, because they'd probably just give me a degree in psychology and we all know how valuable that is (no offense to anyone here).

I'm currently doing chemical engineering and I might possibly dual degree with electrical engineering so I could work on developing more efficient energy technologies. Though I'm definitely also considering using my "cheg" degree towards water resources management considering how important it is in most parts of the country (murica).

It's probably impossible to calculate the amount of matter in the universe, but I think we can all agree that it's a set amount. So why do you think it's that amount as opposed to any other possible amount? Is it random? Is our set amount the only way it possibly could work? Are there an infinite amount of universes and we are one of the few that work?

The intensity of the singularity = the amount of time it takes for gravity to pull everything back together

The same guy considers imagination worthless.

Indeed. You've gotta be selective with your Plato so as to avoid Verbatim-isms.
That makes me wonder if Verbatim is a communist.

Plato... well pretty much every significant philosopher before the 20th century.

In competition, which is the soul of capitalism, it does pay off not to limit oneself with strict ethics or moral rules.
>edgy socialist detected

I wonder why slavery, a far more efficient business tactic with no ethical value, no longer exists.

Your avatar has dicks for legs
So I've been told. Did you get banned?
Many times, but the majority are unjust. Sometimes I ask for it.
Ah, was this one a justified ban?
The last one? Yes. The one before that too.

He could have used the "ai" suffix.
That would imply that he has any form of skill.
But he cannot pass his name on.
What, you mean as a lineage? Suffixes don't get passed on, they're earned.
The fact that you guys know so much on this subject is quite odd to me.
Halo MCC and all the terminals on the Covenant's history came out so this is just trending right now.

ovelty or for the sake of humour, not much. You could argue a hydroelectric damn or a "water-drop" generator is perpetual, however.
but it isn't
But muh Hydrological Cycle
that isn't perpetual motion

The a-hole is still loyal to the Prophets!
I thought it was funny because he's super religious and Sanghellis with the 'ee' ending are also super religious.
