None of them are working.

Should I buy some of this online? I've heard some comments about how it's only effective on some people. But I feel so weak and sick right now I feel like nothing can help me.

Advice? Anyone?

According to new investigations, the Russian spy agency KGB has concluded that its remains have been linked to a plane crash in the Ukraine that was supposedly shot down by rebel forces a few months ago.

Read more here.

Honestly I'm a bit skeptical why this wasn't discovered a long time ago, but I guess these investigations are pretty difficult especially considering the instability in the Ukraine.

Serious / Re: questions regarding nightmares/night terrors
« on: December 05, 2014, 09:00:29 AM »
I had about three different naps last night (my dreams kept waking me up in the middle of the night so it broke up my sleep into three sections). And each time I was asleep I kept having these intense dreams. They could probably be considered nightmares but I wasn't too bothered by them for whatever reason. I almost never get nightmares, and I rarely get dreams, so it was pretty odd. And I woke up extremely cold (because the heater broke again) and now I have a really severe sore throat, like really severe, but I don't seem to have any other cold symptoms. Not sure if my story is helping you any bit, but I wonder if you fell asleep really cold or if you woke up sick.

Actually I feel extremely weak right now, the sore throat isn't my only symptom.

You are to follow my three demands or I will continue to DDoS the site

1. Reactivate anarchy permanently
2. Ban Noelle (for the lolz)
3. Unban Comms Officer

I'll give you some time to figure it out. But if you do not, I will launch another DDoS attack.

Call me a baiter, but I think it's liberal propaganda. They want people to be poor because they know poor people vote for them since they're the ones they can go to for welfare and free handouts.

So if you don't like money chances are you've been brainwashed by some Disney movie when you were a kid and you seem to think it's intrinsically evil or something stupid.

No, on the grounds for disagreement, well, written by Him.
You would value the word of the bible over the direct word of god?

In case he gets drunk right?

It'd save time and resources since police investigations would be much easier to conduct, so I'd agree with that kind of measure as it would better efficiency. And I really don't see how it can be used against an innocent individual, but please tell me if that isn't the case.

Serious / A question for bible-reading religious people
« on: December 04, 2014, 10:41:40 PM »
If you are asked by god to do something unethical, say kill a child, would you do it?

You must choose either ethics or faith in this scenario, you cannot say that god would never tell someone to do it, because he actually has made someone make that decision in the bible (there's a nice quick summary of the story here, and also a giveaway for where this question comes from).

So would you obey god and kill the child, or would you not?

I know there aren't a lot of Christians on the forum, but I'm curious what answer you'd make of this. I'm not making this to attack religious people, I'm legitimately just curious how you guys would respond. And if you're wondering what's up with all the philosophy today, it's because I've spent all day studying it.

Serious / Fairness as a moral ideal
« on: December 04, 2014, 10:18:09 PM »
To what degree do you value fairness?

What I like about capitalism is that it's truly a test about personal strength and overcoming (although it is true that Darwinism will always exist no matter what the political climate). However what I don't like about capitalism is that it's inherently unfair, and that some people start out much better than others. How is capitalism a test of personal strength when one individual can inherit a billion dollar company and another can inherit a debt? While my belief in immediate transfer to socialism has subsided, this belief, perhaps based more on personal experience and emotion rather than a legitimate ethical ideal, has stayed with me. And if it's the case that fairness, or radical fairness in my case, is something I value, then the implications are quite high. It would mean that I support the abolition of the family and a completely redone social system.

So what degree of fairness do you personally value? And why do you hold that ideal?

-Would you walk away?
-Is it more cruel to accept the child's sacrifice, or to abandon the city?
-Is it justifiable to rescue the child and destroy the city?
I really love this city.

I think my logic would tempt me to stay, but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, no matter how many times I run it through my head that it's all justifiable.

Serious / Is anything really invented?
« on: December 04, 2014, 10:06:51 PM »
You all know the difference between invention and discovery right? I've been thinking about this for a few minutes now and it looks to me that they're both human terms. It's not like the possibility of a machine assembled in a certain way hasn't existed before someone thinks of it. If you think about it this way, everything is really only discovered, not invented. In human language we make the distinction because one type of discovery involves much more trial and error as well as imagination than the other and it's practical for us to make the distinction, but in philosophic terms they seem to be one in the same.

This might seem like a relatively simple and negligible point to make, and if so you may as well let this threads sink and die, but if I'm wrong about anything please explain why. There are a lot of implications to be made if it's the case that every idea or possibility already exists outside our minds.
