I don't go to the movies anymore. I can't justify the cost.

You have to make the money to buy a ticket.
I can easily afford a ticket, I just would rather spend $20 on something else.

You have to make the money to buy a ticket!

What if I have the money to buy a ticket, but there's no movie theatre?

I'm pretty sure women don't lactate at all times.

It's called induced lactating.

Okay, I'm not an expert on the subject of human lactation, haha.

I'm no doc but it's a relatively simple concept. Folks can sort of trick their bodies into thinking it's baby time with continued persistent stimulation over a period of a few weeks to a month or so.

There are six friends on my friends list. Two have moved to the juan. Two are on and off on both consoles. And two are on rarely or random intervals.

Jesus fuck I miss all the old people I used to cal friends of mine. Moved on and gone.
I'll be your friend but it'll cost ya :3

You already know I'm poor as fuck. So the question is, what's the catch?
I get your soul.

That sounds more like a backfiring deal to me. You sure you want what's chained up in there? Lot of house work needs to be done up in the attic.

But I'll shoot.

Gt is Sangheili Merc.

Spahgetti Mac if you're below 6 years of age.

Nice to find something small in the day isn't it? Not large or world shattering, but just a simple little obvious thing you overlooked that remained hidden for so long.

It's sort of like a kid in a candy shop feeling really. Little spark of wonder, amusement, excitement even, at your newfound, yet small discovery.

I think for the sake of fun, I'm going to describe the spoopy place from my nightmare.

It rests in a desert, filled with ancient ruins, buried under sand. It stands out to any who live there, and all who live there, know it as The Shard. It's a dark, jagged rock formation that looks like a thorn. Dark, imposing rock that's unsettling to those who look at it, and imposing.

The closer one gets to the shard, the more the sand starts to dissappear and smaller jagged formations of the same dark stony material show up. The sand blows over the shard, and either through erosion or something else, the shard is carved with passageways.

Some are dead ends. Others lead through it for miles, connecting to more maze like passages. Some actually go deeper into the shard, going beneath the sand. But the real threat is inside. When close to the shard, or inside, it starts to warp reality.

A person inside of it will suddenly find themselves in other places, other times. And they become invested in these fake constructs. But always, in every one, a scenario plays out. The people in every apparition are dead. They appear alive, but they're hollow. Dead emotionless eyes. And smiles. Smiles and laughter that that sounds out when the person invested in the construct is in trouble.

It starts slowly at first, a bump, or a push, an argument. And then it gets violent. In these apparitions, the shard warps the mind of the traveler, and they come under attack from these dead occupants, who all act, laugh, and stare in unison.

The longer you stay, the more the shard twists things, and the very rock above you seems to veer down over you, trying to trap you. You become invested in the construct, and then reality shatters as the occupants turn on you, laugh at you with dead eyes and hollow smiles, and then attack you, in increasing bouts of insanity.

Point is, people who go into the shard, don't come back out.

I can't imagine that being a pleasant dream .-.
Thanks for sharing though, it's very vivid >.>

Fucking sucked ass dude. I had that when I was in the hospital. The parts that I remember the most are the sand, the fucking creepy as shit rock and stone, and of course, getting attacked by people with hollow eyes with smiles akin to the joker.

You know, there's one thing your forgetting about in all this. Age.

You see that ass? Give it about 40-60 years and it'll be lumpy, sagging down to her knees.
You say that like it's a bad thing

How much glorious pre-Covenant Sangheili society were we shown?
Quite a bit.

It's also rather nice, in the end, the Sangheili spirit was never broken by the Covenant as a small group of free Sangheili survived until 2553 before rejoining the modern Sangheili.

FUCK YEAH SON.

Knew they had something grand before the Covenant mulched it. Gonna read that shit up as soon as I can.
Two favorite parts of the book.

1. They go back to Janjur Qom, and classic San 'Shyuum culture is delved into.

2. In Halo 2 we heard about how the Elite High Council was slaughtered. What they neglected to tell us, is that it was this huge badass standoff between hundreds of Elites and Brutes in Delta Halo's control room.

The final battle was between this one Elite with dual energy swords going at this BAMF of a Brute with a hammer who was Tartarus' right hand man.

Colour me fucking impressed. A Halo novel I've actually wanted to read in a long while.
Also, Tartarus (and other Brutes) like this red drink that's so toxic, it will kill any other species that drinks it.

Well, the Moonbabies technically do have a slightly irridiated planet correct? The nuked themselves back to the stoneage. In a sense, Moonbabies are like the Krogan of the Haloverse.
Not just that but Doisac is host to large jungles. Chances are they have some exotic wildlife and plants. Evolution would make them immune to quite a bit there.

Doisac's a heavy G world. Can't picture Moonbabies swinging through trees. Volcanic plains too. It's gotta fucking suck to fall anywhere on that world.

The most recent dream I remember, came out of a nightmare. Nightmare I had in the hospital while I was up and recovering. I remember extremely little about my dreams, and really, maybe once, or twice in a year, I remember one vividly. Anywho, this one was vivid enough that I used it as a location in one of my stories.

:l

Well at least something good came of it then.

Top shelf. The location in the story matches the dream. This is a fucking place you don't want to set foot in. But, a year or so back, I did have another dream, of which I used the location in a story as well. It featured a scientific anomaly, frozen lightening. Special particles in the air that allowed lightening to arc out, but the planet was so cold that the lightening froze as water vapor when its brief heat melted ice in the air.

Other than that, that's all I gots.

The Flood / Re: Ok, now for some sad news.
« on: November 03, 2014, 08:27:53 PM »
On the subject of, well, rather sad news, I learned something today. Over the past month or two, this little woman has been coming into my cafe. And, for the most part, I didn't really take too much notice of her. But one day, something caught my eye. She came in with a cast on her arm.

I was curious, and I did a little bit of digging. Turns out, this woman was working as a farmhand in the fields when a combine wrench fell on her arm and snapped it like a twig. But, a day later, she was back at work with a cast.

Gutsy little woman. And, I started paying more attention to her. Realized that she's very quiet. Speaks intelligently. And, today, I put the last piece of the puzzle together. Not only do I understand why she's so gutsy, but why she's so quiet.

She has a hereditary congenial heart defect. What this means is, at any time, at any age, her heart can just stop. And she'll die on the spot. One of her older relatives died at 35 because of it.

So, now I understand. And I'm going to do something about it. In person, surrounded by people, I'm not much of a speaker. But I can write my thoughts freely.

And the more I watch her, the more I see. The more I listen, the more I understand. She's not open to people, because it hangs over her that she could die, at any moment. And, she's depressed about it.

So tonight, I wrote some words down, on paper for her. And, when and if I bump into her again, hopefully I can brighten up her day.

But, onto the subject at hand, that sucks. A few months back a nice 17 year old in town lost her fight with lukemia. It's good that they caught things early though. The earlier you catch a cancer, the better.

Stalker.

Things work a little bit differently up here amigo. Word of mouth, gossip, is ever present. Talk to the right people and you get the truths about folks. Can't call me much of a stalker if I've only ever seen her in person about 7 times over the course of three months.

ITT: Sandtrap the outsider as usual.

I know I'm the strange kid. Always have been. Always will be. But I ain't hurting anybody. So as far as things go, I think I'm doing good. Never a good thing to hide from yourself. And so I walk this earth, and I am simply, little old me. If any of you have a problem with that, come up here and talk to me about it.

On topic however, that's actually a difficult thing to think about. Because if I'm considered strange, then what do I consider, stranger than me?
You aren't strange, just unique compared to the people I know and have interacted with.

Never liked being a unique special snowflake. Na. Strange has such a ring to it.
