they literally removed offtopic from the forum categories now, click the forum button on the side to see for yourself.

No, it's still in there. It just kinda doesn't like to show up half the time.

#gaming is still a fucking shit hole...

I'm not even exactly sure how to navigate thier new menus lol. Their top menu just lost all it's strings and fell somewhere else.
The menus on top were fine, they could've just added their descriptions.

Man that place sunk. It really sucks actually. I check up on it once in a while. And every time I visit, I see a couple handfulls of the same threads I saw last time. That place must be slow as molasass now. Not to mention nothing has any soul or fun to it anymore.

I think it's time for acceptance. We won't ever see the Halo era Bungie again.

I don't know why I expected Bungie to address the real problems with that forum

But hey. We can see likes now!

They continue to impress with every new update. I mean they've managed to get shittier with each one. I'm starting to think my account death over there was divine intervention.

The Flood / Re: Wanna quit my job
« on: November 12, 2014, 09:51:15 PM »
Aye. I hear you. Loud and clear. You wanna hear some stories? Couple years back, on one of my bigger jobs, fucking one week into the job, one of the laborers quit. So it was just me and another dude. And so, three dump trucks come over and offload their piles of dirt into a super pile of dirt.

And the boss says "K, we don't have a bobcat, so you two grab shovels, toss the dirt down there, and then shape it and slope it.

The two of us shoveled three dump trucks worth of dirt into the basement of the structure in two days. And then we sorted it out, spread it, and sloped all of it. And get this.

The boss comes up, and says "Oh, shit, sorry guys, we missed a detail in the blueprints. You'll have to shovel all the dirt out by hand."

Oh, wait, hang on. At that point one of the laborers quit. So then it was just me and another dude.

I feel your pain. And believe me, I know. It's tough hunting jobs out there today. And I understand the pursuit of money you need.

Nobody's willing to hire these days, save for the shittiest of the shit jobs.

People are sacks of old sacks as usual. It wasn't so bad for me because I didn't deal so much with pedestrians and civillians, but they were always annoying as shit when we encountered them.

And in your line of work, at a fast food place. Yeah, I hear ya.

But hang in there. Keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to jump ship. And don't be afraid to try something new if it shows itself. We all have to start new at some point.

You'll get through it, one way or another. I've got faith in you.
Thanks Sandtrap. Means a lot to me.

I have a joke for you.

You and me work at the very bottom of the ladder right? As a laborer, it's my job to haul shit, clean the worksite up, do the messy shit, etc etc. Your job at Mickie D's is likely cleaning tables and trash up, janitor type shit right?

So, bare with me here. What are you really?

You clean shit up, do the dirty jobs, and all that stuff for the higher ups.

You are not a Janitor.

You are a Butler. A Janitorial Butler. And I'm a worksite Butler.

Now, picture this.

Picture coming to work in a butler suit tomorrow. Black and white penguin suit, like a tux. And you just have this super serious face on all day, all posh and proper.

You and me?

We're butlers. Better dress like them no?

I bet 10 whole canadian dollars that the host was never going to reach the smelter demon because he was using pyromancies on the alonne knights.

Not only did the host not kill himself in the room with two red phantom captains, but he survived the smelter demon as well.

That's a new one.

Just so long as I'm not in the range of the fallout.

I hope for the best, but I know otherwise. So, rather than take any chances, I'll just keep my distance. I pull no strings with the world, so I'll do what I do best instead.

Give it the finger and dissappear out of harm's way.

Howdy Flood! Ya'll walked into an experiment of mine.

Once a day, for the sake of fun, I'm going to make some time.

To muse on these interesting days, so they don't just pass in a foggy haze.

Winter comes, it's cold as shit, and fuck, I know this ain't even half of it.

The sun still shines, in these shitty cold times.

I've got good plans ahead, to which I'll work till' I'm dead.

Call this a gimmick, a trick, you folks know I don't fake shit.

Honest and true, can do no wrong on you.

So to you I say, on this middle old Wednesday.

Have a damn good evening, and enjoy your time.

Because suddenly, I'm a little fond of ryhmes.

No seriously, you must have got someone from the looney bin to do that. No sane person would.
Guy's who like BDSM aren't loonies. Not that the virgin Gatsby would no anything about that

I was more referring to you as person. you have to be pretty mad to love a personality like yours

Na. You just gotta get rough around th edges first. Like fire. Fire burns quite a bit. Never stops. But expose yourself to heat, and over time, you build up a resistance to it. And suddenly, all the shit that burned you before, seems pretty mild.

Why you gotta be so antagonistic?
Why do I have to be like everyone else on this forum?

Cause you're not. You don't gotta change nothin' to be different or stand outta the crowd.

Gaming / Re: Halo 5 should aspire to be Halo Reach
« on: November 12, 2014, 02:51:55 PM »
Nope. Halo 3 has the best forge because of the physics of certain objects, they allowed for the best game types. The settings were good too.
This is a joke, right?
no, go remake them amazing maps in foundry using concrete barriers that you were able to break using swords. You can't.
You can defend Halo 3's clunky and retarded Forge but Reach's Forge is FAR superior.

Superior, yet soulless.

Now, if you could take Reach's precision of Forge, and use Halo 3 physics, then you would have a tool fit for the gods.

Halo 3's forge maps, all had a special charm to them. A charm that was lost when Reach rolled out. Every map had a tone, an atmosphere, and the pieces matched it.

I pick soul over a grey void.

Gaming / Re: Halo 5 should aspire to be Halo Reach

nooooooooooooooo

please no, pls.
>this guy was shit at Reach
>le buttmad

I'm ashamed to admit I have the most skill in Reach and 4 actually :(

I don't do good in older Halos, but I enjoy it more. I'm fine with how Halo 5 is going I just don't want another Reach, I didn't like the art style.

Ya shouldn't worry about skill chump. Especially with buds and friends to play with. That's what Halo's been about. Playing with friends.

Way back when I used to play Halo 3 religiously, I wasn't the best. I was the middle man of the team. While my friends did all the slaughterhouse meat grinder work, I was the driver. I took power weapons so the other team wouldn't get them. I'd drive the warthog, the mongoose, the ghost when they where needed.

I took the banshee, and made myself a target and constant pester. I took the tank, and rolled into the mess as a free shield. I walked into the meat grinder to move the flag an inch, over and over.

Find your spot and your niche, and with some good friends, no matter how skilled or unskilled you are, you'll always have a blast.

Halo is an amazing game for this stuff.

RIP halo 3 customs...hopefully MCC revives you. Used to be able to join random lobbies of 16 people for customs and have a blast.

Remember when you could scroll through your recent players list, and within two minutes of browsing random friends lists, you could find a custom game?

Considering that I work at a cafe/restaurant, I understand their plight.

So, no. I get up, push all my chairs in, collect all the dishes into one pile, and then go up and pay.
You're too nice, i wish people at McDonald's threw away their fucking trash.

Well, if you give me your address and respective Mcdonalds workplace, maybe I'll show up one day and make that wish true, just once.

I know how it feels when a customer goes out of their way, even to do one little thing, like pushing in chairs. So, I empart that feeling on behalf of all the restaurants I visit.
