It's what moms do. They always get attached . When it comes down to it, it's your life, and she can't stop you. And she should understand that you need your room to expand and grow. Stand your ground, and let that be known.

Not in an insulting way, not in an angry rant. I don't know shit about your mother, but I can tell you this. Don't let her get you angry. Because then it goes into a vicious circle. As they say, keep calm, party on.

Mothers are always clingy, and they'll fight through whatever way neccessary to keep that. Most of all, you gotta remember that this is a woman we're talking about here. Not only is she clinging to her son, but change has just suddenly walked up on her doorstep.

Woman aren't non-understandable mysteries. But they do think differently. And change, abrupt change, for most of them, puts them on guard.

You just:
a) Broke one of her expectations for you
b)Dumped it on her that you'll be headed off into the big wide world soon

She's on guard big time. Personally, I always laugh at folks who say they'll never have kids in the future. The future holds a lot of tricks up its sleeves, and you can't predict them or where they'll lead. Your mom shouldn't be so flustered in that case, but I suppose, that's her way of going on guard.

It all comes down to my first point.

Make it clear that it's your life. And she needs to give you the room to grow. Not insulting, and not angry, because if you say it the wrong way, it could backfire on you BIG TIME. Just calm and easy going.

And you only need to say it once. Most of all, don't approach her bluntly. If you approach her like you're going to talk about university stuff, she'll put her walls up.

You need to do it as if it were a casual conversation.

Septagon / The New Ad Banners keep giving me viruses
« on: November 14, 2014, 09:25:58 PM »
I'll open up the sep7agon, and automatically be redirected to a page that starts flooding my computer with shit that downloads automatically with no permission. All of it gets flagged as malware and other nice stuff.

That's not cool Cheat. You'd better have a sit down with our ad service provider.

Different terminologies. One true friend could fit too.

How do you know we are always in a party on XBL?

The same way I know that if I if I go over 60 on a curve I'll slide right off it on the ice.

It's a fact of life.

Serious / Re: Serious time (dreams I had)
« on: November 14, 2014, 02:50:37 PM »
Your brain is a funny thing, and dreams are influenced quite a bit by little things. Your subconscious part of your brain often picks up on little unseen details that the actively aware part does not, and so dreams are often confusing to us because we see shit that we don't recognize. Stuff that doesn't make sense.

But in fact, it's just the little details your subconscious picks up and hangs on to. Your dreams are split into pieces. One half is the digesting of things the active part of your head picked up, and the other half are the unseen things you're not actively aware of, but still leave a footprint on your mind.

I wouldn't worry about it. What you should be worried about, is the here and now. So calm yourself down, and try to relax!

Your mother's cooking.
My mother is an excellent cook.

If you shit out fire and brimstone from your momma's cooking, you should check your priorities. Hell, Taco Bell would be a step up from whatever hellspawn lurks in the sewer that your mother gave life to in her demented hell oven.
You do understand I found that picture online?? We don't have those kind of drains in the UK

God dayum son, what the fuck is your momma's cooking doing on the other side of the world then? Is she building an army under the sewers of the world?

So, are you saying that we're evil by extension as well? Since all dads came from a mom, and you came from a mom, then you're evil hellspawn then correct?

Da wominz aren't just evil.

Spoiler
They're the source.

Life can be ugly. It'll throw punches. No doubt about it. And it's easier said than done, not to look at it all, and feel like giving up. The world's a big mess today, and everywhere you look, it seems like things are fucking up. Most of all, with such a bumpy road, how can you think of having a secure future? How will you make it, how could you possibly succeed?

You will. You'll find a way. Because there's always a way. Your fathers before you figured it out. It looked glum for them, but here you are today. Remember that. We all share common ground in that we all have a struggle. We all have a mountain to climb. A potential challenge that we can't beat.

Realize that, and you just might learn a little bit of respect. Respect for your common man, knowlegde that you're not alone in your fight, and neither is he. So if you can go out, despite your own troubles, and hold a true genuine smile, show compassion and care, respect for those around you, then piece by piece, you can give a little sunshine.

The world needs that these days. People, caught up in wires and strings, traps and tricks, are losing sight of things. Losing sight of what really matters.

I tell you now, about the Three H's. If you can check these off in your life, then you're set. You can't fail.

Home- A place you can call all your own. No strings attached, it's yours, and yours alone. With a home, you've got shelter, a sanctuary that you could do whatever you want with. A space that is uniquely, just yours to command and shape as you see fit.

Healthy- In good health, you're at peak strength. With peak strength, you can do anything. So long as you're healthy, your life will be much easier.

Happy- The last, and hardest thing to achieve. Happiness. Because you have to ask yourself what really matters to you. Finding that is an adventure in itself. And then you have to stay true to it. It's easier said than done. And rather ironic, is the fact that to achieve that, to be content with yourself, to be content with your life, and the things around you, staying true to your values will take you down some hard roads.

Most of all, most important to remember, is to be careful what you wish for.

Life, is built around getting what you want. Because getting what you want makes you happy, or makes you think you'll be happy. People adhere to pleasure, and avoid pain for a reason. So therefore, if you want it hard enough, you will do it. You'll get up, and you'll get what you want, so long as it's within reason.

But remember. Sometimes you think getting something will make you happy. And when you finally get it, it might turn around on you.

Everything in your life is choice. And every choice has a consequence, whether seen, or unseen by you.

To that I say, choose wisely.

We're the architects of our own heaven or hell.

Patience is a virtue, restraint a solid value to hold. Neither were displayed, and a price you paid.

Learn somethin' new every day right? If you're feeling blue about it, then maybe next time you should watch your step!
Why are you speaking this way?

Change of mind, change of pace. It's mildy infectious if you will.
No.

Yes. Nothing you can do to stop me.

Aquire land in close proximity to a town but not in it, more along the lines of the outskirts. Stay in close proximity to family in the area to lend a hand when needed. Move on up, start working on house on the land. Once I've got a base I could travel anywhere from there.

Travel Canada a little more in bits and pieces through saving up. Start a side project for later years. Transfer the current restaurant my mother owns to my name, fix it up and repair it and keep it running. So long as it stands, it's a source of money no matter how small.

See where writing takes me and see if I can brush up my art. Learn a few more fields and trades, and see what I can build on and go from there.

You know, I seriously considered the merits of showing up to work in a fancy black suit one day. I show up to a concrete job, in a black business suit, and I just go about my business as normal. Disregard the suit completely and just work.

They'd think I was crazy.
