The Flood / Re: Which is worse, getting fired or quitting?« on: November 18, 2014, 06:49:22 PM »
Being fired means you where shitty in some capacity. Your fuck up was too big.
Quitting, personally, is much more liberating. You put in your time, you handed in your resignation, and you walked away with your head held high. 9483

Stay my hand. A big fuck you bang up party is pretty tempting. But in surrender and acceptance, you gain a far bigger fuck you.
1. All of histories villains? The people we hated, feared, detested, and everything else? They're all dead. Their empires, are dead. The point is, times change. So even if the country that was the last man standing, the dirty little fucker who started it all was left, times would change. Everything rises, everything falls. 2. Nukes are fast. But not instant. They probably have a long enough travel time, that as the leader of your doomed country, you could broadcast a message. A farewell to all, and a call to arms. A message that says "I had the choice to fire. And I didn't, because I'm not the man on the other end of the oncoming missiles towards me." In conjunction with "everything changes," you leave a message of peace, a warning, and a call to arms to those who would fight and incite rebellion on the last man standing. 3. What's a bigger fuck you and crippling blow to your assailaint's ego then watching your oncoming death with a smile and not a care? 9487

But it does not remove the weight. Like it or not, it'll always be there. Give it some time maybe, and I just might push it into background memory, so that it's not so spoopy. 9490

In fact talking about it acknowleges it. Honestly, that's the last thing I want to do. I'll just have to toss my hat up into the ring and see what I can make of the day. Time's wasting. Even if I'm mopey, doing something is more important. 9491

I still think that might be the back of the phantom. The two smaller blue lights could be the back guns they seem to have but never use.

kekYou got fuckin' rekt Then let's hope you're never given a reason to count your time then. I hope at the end of the road, what you set up for yourself was worth it. Senseless laughs at frustration and needless stupidity. It's your time and your choice. Here's hoping you've a bad memory so as you don't remember hours wasted. Cheers. 9497
kekYou got fuckin' rekt Just a quick question here. Any particular reason you folks stir shit up? With alts and all that. Spam and attacks? When you look back on your life, and count your hours, your minutes, are you going to be satisfied that you sat around for all those evenings and just wasted all that time trying to piss people off? 9498
The Flood / Re: Individuality is a detriment to governments and armies.« on: November 17, 2014, 11:52:00 PM »And yet it can be argued that individuality got us this far. Because without those singular, great minds that walked alone, we wouldn't have what we have today.I'd say that it is only needed at the top of the food chain. Imma shoot you down with my six shooter slick. With very real world examples from my own experiences. I'm a grunt. Most of my jobs consist of being a laborer on a work site. It's my job to haul shit, clean shit, and get stuff where it needs to go. I'm zee butler of the worksite. That's what's expected of me. But while I work, I do more than that. I think. I think ahead of what my head honchos are doing. And make moves before they even have to tell me what we're doing, what they need, and what I need to do. Most of all, I spot things. Details the boss missed. And I point them out. If I was just a standard grunt like all the rest, then I'd shovel and haul shit around, just like them. But I'm not. And it's served me, and my co-workers well in the past. And sometimes, they don't even know that I'm there. I'll be doing my job, and see a problem coming up ahead of time, and fix it before anybody encounters it. Airlines in the way, snags and coils, moving tools ahead of time to where they'll be needed shortly. If I was not like this, trust me when I say this. 1. A lot of my jobs would be a lot more shitty if I wasn't watching out for the little details. And not just shitty for me either. The whole group. 2. There'd be a fair few misshaps and accidents that could result in injury or potentially death. The way I act, the way I think, in my position, is for lack of a better term, credit to team. 9499

I'll toss my hat in I suppose.
Roughly three quarters of the day I'm around here at some point in time. I keep tabs on things between running around in the restaurant, which at this point in the year, is a one man show. It's winter, and it will be for about 8 months, meaning I'm not going to be traveling, and I'll likely have very little work that'll pull me away from here. Despite all the free time on my hands, I'm limited in my access to my computers however, and, naturally, I do other things than just browse around here all day. But for most times, I'm up in the early morning and up until fairly late in the night. Earlier than most mods I've seen, and later as well. I could fill in the gaps in the early morning and night that don't seem to be very active, but still should be checked over. You know me by now. I've no bias against folks and I try to keep things nice. |
