The universe I created is simply this.
The US has gone through another civil war. And a tyrannical government took over. At first the country prospered and exploded. But as time progressed, border were shut down and the US isolated itself from the world.
The original civil war ended with a brutal defeat of those trying to keep the US as it was. The war was never spoken of, never taught about in classes. Completely erased from history.
All the books deal with what happened in the original war, and the aftermath. This new one would deal with the lead up to the original war, and the beginning of it
Not mein style. But have you ever considered a blend of happy sad? That's a good challenge to try.

You know what's funny, when you think about it? Kim-Jong-Un goes fucking everywhere in his country. Why is he dragged around so much to see shit? Granted, although the other world leaders out there have more threat of being killed so they can't just stroll up all willy nilly to a bakery or whatever and look at shit. And one could say it's because the north korean people are pretty much brain washed to treat him like he's jesus incarnate so they want to impress him. But at the same time, you know what's weird? Kim's the undisputed leader of his country. What he says goes. No matter how silly.
