Actually I'd argue that the longer your time goes on the more the exponential rate for wounds and or damage of any kind to occur rises.
Time doesn't heal all your wounds you fucks. It doesn't even let you stand back up before you get kicked again. Your life is a series of wounds in increasing frequency until you catch the big one.
To that I can argue that people don't have permanent happy switches. Happiness comes in fleeting moments and forms, short or long. Take them when you can find them.
