The Flood / Re: Fox thread
« on: April 13, 2015, 10:58:12 AM »
Nigs it's fine really. I don't have to be stood up for. This is the internet, not something that's going to phase me. I've got much more important things going on in life to stress over.

And ftr, there's no staff fighting. No one has said anything derogatory about me. This is the first I've heard anything even remotely concerning andmaybe those concerns are legitimate.

You say it's not phasing and yet there it is. ^^^^ The statement right below contradicts. You know damn well they're not legitimate because you do your job. My point still stands. Every person makes slip ups. As I pointed out to yu. One night I cleaned up the serious board when all the mods were active, having removed at the very least four threads that obviously didn't belong there.

Those concerns?

Bullshit. You don't attack anybody, you don't start trouble or have ever shown intent to start.

Whether challenger was light hearted or not, people here should know by now that you're not aggressive. And the ones with any ounce of common sense should be able to see how you are.

You say it doesn't phase you but your statement that I underlined. You're phased, in the background.

And it's bullshit. This particular chain of conversations is bullshit. Should have never started.

I know, that I'm going to give it a rest. Challenger, hit the pause button on snarky comments. Yu, seriously, you should know by now how chronic is and what you just sparked.

Chronic. Don't take it so heavy.

And I myself will stop white knighting.

Good day. Don't be dreadfully fucking predictable people. Just be nice and use your heads some days, please.
Nah I do feel like my way of operating and the rest of the staffs are on different areas of the spectrum, if you catch my drift. I've had those thoughts long before anyone has even mentioned anything. I don't necessarily think I'm a bad mod, just maybe one that isn't suited for the less lenient type of moderation that seems to be the standard here. That is to say, it's less lenient compared to the other boards I've frequented like WHU, Noof, Flood V2 etc.

Fair enough. Your personal word over mine. At this point mine can be faulty.

Just figured I'd show up here is all. I sit here, some days, and I watch shit before it starts. Take a peek at the comment that's going to start something silly. I know you of all people don't need to get dragged down into a mess like that.

Even if it is internet "lol not serious" zone. Sometimes it's the small things that make a bigger impact than you expect. People forget that there are, other people beyond the screen. And for some of those folks, it's not peachy.

Could all do well to remember that. Tone down the potential for bullshit some days.

You see that up there? ^^^^^

If you're all too stupid not to notice, but Chronic doesn't exactly have a high opinion of himself. Which has been stated here before and made apparent even if you've never talked to him in person.

A simple comment with no harmful intent sparks some spite from challenger and a comment from yu that came out of nowhere for no apparent reason.

Whether or not any of you give a shit about "muh internet feels" card, it doesn't take much to make a dent in chronic.

So how about before any of you make some more dents, let's pause here. Chronic's not an enemy here and he's not an asshat either.

Can we, I don't know, turn the bullshit down? That'd be nice, for once people.

Just once, don't do something dreadfully expected of you.

I find it fairly amusing that the lot of you get so worked up over fox posts. And even if you aren't actually and are just frontin', I still find it amusing that you've hopped on the bandwagon.
I find your "I don't care about anything lmao" facade amusing but you don't see me saying anything.

It's no facade. It's a state of passerby. Once in a while he slows down and focuses on something and takes a particular notice of something. Consider his post stopping and taking notice of something mildly interesting happening.

I mean, really. To be fair it could be entertaining to see so many get so jammed over simplicity itself.
If it gets in the way of doing a job as it should be done, then yes it can be annoying for others.

Oh please yes, let's preach about what it means to be truly annoying. Give me a break. There's no job to be done in this thread as of yet. There aren't pages and pages of bitching and stupidity.

It's all idle, mildly spiteful banter so far. To be fair, if you want to talk about annoying, how about the time all the mods were on but never checked in the serious board? That was, including yourself.

I moved 4 trash threads to the flood that were titled as such and obvious that were sitting there for three days, done by jester.

In essence, don't point fingers when you yourself are capable of bouts of buggering up too. You're a person, not a souless machine for a mod.

Nobody ever said people were of sound judgement all the time.

Annoying is prefferable over faulty.

Ele is has already lost and is already dead. His counterpart has mammaries and therefore wins.

Am I right when I say, that if ele was gender swapped and still as incoherent as normal, this crowd wouldn't mind so long as they could potentially bang the crazy chick?

Yeah, I'm right.

Sorry Ele. You've come up against your superior.
I'm not crazy! I'm fun-loving!

Wrong, choice of words on my part. But I'd wager if a gender swapped you was wandering around the quickest title given would be crazy chick.

So guys........um...........drink ideas?

I don't remember what it was called.

Frozen can of orange juice.
Vanilla.
Little bit of milk, or maybe water.

Toss in blender.

Enjoy.

If you're an alchy, I wouldn't be surprised if it merged well with alcohol as well.

I have no idea what that is, I'll ask the bartender at my restaurant next time and see.

Well I just mixed vanilla and orange juice together. Tastes good.
...vanilla juice?

I just took orange juice and a couple teaspoons of vanilla and blended the two. Perks of working a restaurant/cafe.

I can make shit and experiment on a whim.

Don't need to. Inherently most of my family members go out like a light once they touch the pillow. I've slept through supposedly loud as fuck thunderstorms and hail.

I just open up the window in my room and listen to the silence outside. Or the wind.

It's quite comforting.

Don't have much to say really. It adds a certain reality to things. The particular statement telling to delete information off phones and computers...

Imagine that. A bunch of people force their way into your home and start going through your stuff. They find something they don't like and they kill you.

Where do you run to in that part of the world that isn't falling apart? Who do you run to withour being deported back to your country?

It reaffirms my belief that where I live is the only place I should be. And hopefully, in due time, what ISIS is doing is all regulated only into history books.

Glad that somebody out there is trying to help with what they can.

« on: April 12, 2015, 01:05:51 AM »
Are you saying germans are hard to fraternize with because they have a rather aggressive undertone to their language?

Cause if we're doing that whole deal, are you aware that the french have no word in their language for "like?"

The only word they have is love. They would never say, "I like you" in french. They'd say I love you.

Now, call the french from france surrender monkies, and call the french from quebec something else, but apparantly one thing the french are fond of is loving.

Go get yourself a french milf, jim.

I'd say it's actually just your more quiet thoughts. Things you keep to yourself. Not necessarily any less true or false. But an extension of the quiet parts of your head.

The majority of things I say on here are things you could bring up with a conversation with me in person. But otherwise, in person, I'm quiet. Friendly. But quiet.
Hence why I chose the word "obfuscate". People tend to hide, or keep quiet, their true thoughts in person, as you said.

Part of it is that I've known some of my Internet friends for years. Some of my oldest ones, I've known for 8+ years. We've never met, but I think it would be an insult not to consider them friends. They are. The only thing that separates us, metaphorically, is the screen--that's how close we are. The screen is auxiliary. It's an arbitrary distinction.

Nope. Nope nope nope. I fucked up. Your first post had it down. Just didn't see it. Can't keep up to ya.

The Flood / Re: Hayden Christensen Ghost vs Sebastian Shaw Ghost
« on: April 11, 2015, 11:17:45 PM »
The problem with Hayden is this.

Why the fuck is he so special?

Why doesn't Yoda or Obi-Wan get to return to their younger selves? I mean think about it. Anakin is all young again but gets to hang around all day with his master, and yoda, who both stay ancient.

That's the definition of awkward even more beyond "Oh hey master, sorry for killing you."
It is supposed to show Anakin before he turned to the dark side. The problem with this is that he was redeemed and was no longer a Sith when he saved Luke and killed Palpatine.

In which case my point still stands.

If their ghosts are appearing at their age of death, and Anakin was considered to be on the light side at the time of his death, then he should likewise appear as his current age.

In this sense he's just being a douchebag to Obi and Yoda by appearing as his younger self which caused all that damn misery and brought the Jedi down.

what if the ghosts choose what they want to look like

The Flood / Re: Do you consider internet friends to be actual friends?
« on: April 11, 2015, 11:12:27 PM »
Yes. People will say that you aren't the same person online as you are offline. Even I've said that in the past, but honestly, I think it's bullshit. I think your Internet self is you showing your "true" personality, and your offline self is you obfuscating your personality. The Internet is where your true self appears.

I'd say it's actually just your more quiet thoughts. Things you keep to yourself. Not necessarily any less true or false. But an extension of the quiet parts of your head.

To be honest I don't think I've ever actually had any real friends. Looking over my history with people.

They've all just been passerby.

Whether it be me who changes with time or them, every last one of them have all been passerby.

Your question then. Yes and no. I call people friends. And I always try my best to be a friend. Essentially, I'll be your friend. But you won't be mine. At least, not for long anyway.
How many people live in your town?

800 give or take.

Listing three people I know who I particularily spent a lot of time with.

One was sort of half and half. More of an acquaintance.

One was a good friend for a few years. Drifted apart and eventually shattered before I left highschool.

And another, who is a good friend for a few years, is far away now in one of the cities.

To be honest I think I just latch on to outcasts I bump into because I'm fleeing that crippling sense of being on my own.
