You might be the only one who knows what makes you happy, but more likely you're the only one who can answer that question for you in this thread

Easy peasy. I know what makes me happy. And apparently everything out there says "no fuck you." I've the fun option of choice here.

>Happy
>Bullshit

I can only pick one.

And, not to mention, gasoline is taxed at close to 20pc in the US. Hell, we'd be even better off if people didn't stop fucking with nuclear energy ever time it tries to make an effort.
Just imagine the amount of diesel that would be saved if the larger commercial and transportation vehicles went nuclear. A nuclear powered freight train would be nothing more than a modern steam locomotive. The coal car would be the reactor and the boiler would be the engine. The only thing you have to do is have a series of cables connecting both cars together for the steam to transfer over. For cargo and cruise ships the military has nuclear powered vessels which works very well. I don't get why large civilian and corporation ships don't use reactors either. The amount of diesel it takes to power those things is huge. With the amount of diesel a super cargo ship takes is enough to fill a shit load of smaller vehicles. There are nuclear powered cargo ships but the amount there are for them they might as well not exists.

The other thing that would make the price of gas go down is that if we didn't destroy or rail system. Trains are able to pull far more weight than semis and they are able to hull more people than what buses and planes do. To me when it comes to transportation we have no idea what we're doing. We're using inefficient means to power things and we're not taking advantage of a means of transportation that's a lot more practical.

"A nuclear powered freight train"

We need to stop that shit, right there.

K. Trains are already destructive enough when they derail. And lately they've been derailing a lot. In fact an entire town was practically vaporized up in rural Quebec last year in the winter when a tanker train detonated right in the middle of it.

We don't need mini nukes on rails just yet.
It's this type of ignorant thinking which is holding us back. There's people out there like you that hear the word "nuclear" and no matter what it is they just think bomb. A nuclear reactor is not going to end up being a nuclear bomb. If there's any type of explosion it's just going to be steam. Any nuclear reactors built today are going to be far safer than what was built in the past.
http://www.explainthatstuff.com/how-nuclear-power-plants-work.html
http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2011/03/why-a-nuclear-reactor-will-never-become-a-bomb/

Once again, I say again.

I wasn't reffering to the actual explosion. I was reffering to the radiation. You know, the contaminated waste components that come with all reactors.

And no, you silly fuck, that ignorant thinking isn't holding anybody back because

A) I'm a fucking farmhand out in a field somewhere who will never decide any issues regarding nuclear power, nor will the oppurtunity ever grace itself upon me,

and

B) It's stupid fucks in office that are essentially holding folks back. I don't call any shots. They do. And they're prone to calling a lot of wrong fucking shots regardless of any logical facts presented.

So sit the fuck down.

Take my sarcasm about a mini-nuke on rails.

And please.

Shove it up your ass until it sticks. Fuck man. I'm not that ignorant.

Not even Chernobyl was a god damn explosion. It was mostly heat, steam, and some other shit leaking out. Fukishima reactor was basically water and more steam and shit leaking out into the ocean. It would take some special engineering to make a nuclear reactor explode.

That's not how nuclear energy works, like at all.

When a nuclear bomb or missle is dropped it's put on a timer.  It detonates before it hits the ground for maximum impact.  If the bomb fails to trigger the detonation then it just crashes into the ground.  That's the reason why this bomb didn't detonate when it landed in the delta, because it wasn't triggered.

Will there be a radiation leak?  Probably.  But this isn't 1986.  We have failsafes in place.  The damage the radiation would cause would be minimal.

Assuming the train wasn't a tanker and it detonated due to crashing and lighting it's own payload on fire. I wasn't reffering to the reactor exploding.

More so the radiation on the cake type of deal if a flammable hauler exploded.

It was "meh" for me. Some cool ideas but very poor execution and little to no suspense.

It also amazes me how 20+ years later, the effects from the original still are leagues better.

You can't beat a combination of practical and CGI effects man. Merge the two together just right and you'll have something that can stand the test of time.

Case and point. Terminator 2.

I never had a cousin to do anything with.
Or even a friend.

You're not missing much Casp.

I had a cousin and then she up and evolved into a monumental bitch. Had a couple others in another family group as well.

I won't say that they're bitches. But they're not on good talking terms.

Fuck cousins.
Had?

Past tense. Hur. I still have a cousin. But I say had because fuck if I know where she is right now and fuck if I care enough to bother tracking her down and talking to her in any way.

Essentially, letting the dead stay buried here. Yeah. I had a cousin.

You know how much a penny was fucking worth in 1600?

Let's be generous and say it's a skilled labourer being paid 12d a day, and let's be even more generous and say that a gallon of petrol is tuppeny. Petrol is currently around £1.16/litre, and there are 5 imperial gallons to a litre.

I get paid around £80/week, which works out to £11.43/day. If I want to buy a gallon of petrol, it'll cost me about 23p. Which is 2pc of my daily income. If you have an Elizabethan skilled labourer purchasing a gallon of petrol on 12d/day for tuppeny, he has used 16pc of his income.

So fuck you.

That's capitalism.

Why are you wasting your time on a backwater forum when you could be a politician?

You could fix the UK's problems singlehanded.

Ah. Well, easy answer to that. It's called drive. Motivation if you want. There's a cost to everything you do.

Being a politician takes a lot of work. You've got to discard a fair bit of your comforts to climb that ladder.

Meta is either too young to throw his hat in with that lot just yet, or, simple, he likes his current setup the way it is now.

Am I the only one who doesn't give two shits about Steam sales? They rarely add anything you actually want to buy.

I pay no mind since I can't be fucking arsed to clog my hard drive space up with shit I'll likely play in a blue moon.

I mean, those sale prices are great and all. But unless I actually have some fucking time to sit down and enjoy what I've purchased then it's not worth it.

So, I'm curious now. End of Halo 4. Didact states, "The reclaimation has already begun, and we are hopeless to stop it."

That's Didact saying that, as if the Forerunners can't do shit about it. And, previously, implying that he was talking about Humanity reclaiming things.

But, so far, it's even been talked about, the Reclaimation seems a little hostile. All this forerunner stuff showing up and making a mess of various worlds and Chief most likely tring to find out how to stop it.
