The H2A elites look kind of like Reach's elites.

343 took basically all iterations of them and smooshed them into one. They are the "The Superior Sangheili."

Don't drink any milk. Rest and take things slow. Keep things simple. Water is important because if you're vomiting you're going to be dehydrated.

Most likely. We'd probably help more advanced apes out, seeing how we do already. Poaching and such wouldn't be as much of a problem or wouldn't be a problem at all if we've figured out how to co-exist for another 50 thousand years.

One can hope right?

The Flood / Re: Fingertip Knives vs Wrist Blades
« on: August 20, 2014, 12:21:53 PM »
With wrist blades, you get more application of force. You can slash and puncture. But finger blades would only work well for slashing. And here's the other thing.

Imagine if you went to hit something with your finger blades, like armour, and they didn't puncture, and instead, you snapped you fingers? The wrist is a hell of a lot more of a secure location for them because as I said, you get more force put into your blows, where spindly finger blades don't, meaning they can be blocked easier and their source can be broken or twisted, much, much easier.

I was doing some thinking the other day. Evolution is a constant thing, and if you were to take a Human being from today, stuff him or her into a time machine, and say, jump them ahead 40-50 thousand years or so, taking into account we're still around by then, the species that we know as Humans he or she will meet will be completely alien, in appearance, and possibly intelligence.

So, down to the brass tacks of things, I was thinking, let's assume that we are around for another 40-50 thousand years, hell, even longer than that, and we maintain a presence on Earth. Let's say, that our divergent relatives in our family tree, other primates, are also around all the way up until this time. Could the potential exist to see a second sapient species rise on our world through natural evolution?

And in that regard, would we ourselves be evolved enough not abuse them?

You know the old shtick wherein somebody bribes their way past the junkyard dogs with a steak? Well, if we trained a non-predatory animal, like a horse, to be a guard animal, could I bribe my way past them with a bale of hay?

In Canada, it's a well established fact that all Horses are replaced with Moose. Guard Moose is best Moose.

Speaking of Smiggles has anyone invited her?

And where's Elegiac?

This is a little bit late, but Smiggs is already here. They followed me on over here after I made my farewells to Bungie.net before my account got shut out. Although, smiggs doesn't seem too enthusiastic about stopping by here unless there's a mobile version.

Too poor to spend that much money in one go. In total everything adds up to roughly 800 bucks. I need to wait until the time is right.

I can't wait to see the level Gravemind, High Charity will look stunning with updated graphics.

It almost makes me want an XBone

I think they're saving some stuff for the full game. After all, it wouldn't be as fun if we saw everything first without playing through things to get that nostalgia factor. Although, just the music alone from the second video coupled with the screenshots is heavy on the nostalgia.

Personally, I can't fucking wait to see the first two levels with Arbiter. Threshold was stunning back then, and now, it'll be incredible to see that enormous storm off in the distance and the station suspended, dangling right before the maw of it. And we can't forget the return of the Flood in glorious HD.

Dark Souls 2 was missing that dark gritty atmosphere that Dark and Demon's Souls had.

I like to think of Souls II as a more "Knightly" kind of game. There were a hell of a lot of Knight enemies involved then before. Just a different art direction is all. Which I don't mind. But personally I think Souls and it's previous successors are at their strongest when we're fighting mythological based beings.

Granted, Souls II had a few of these, but far less than previous installments. But, imagine what a souls game would be like if the devs based it off mythology off of other parts of the world? There's a lot of cultures out there, and I think the devs still have a lot of room to work with for creativity.

But another big factor in things as somebody else already put it, is that the pvp lacks in quality. A good chunk of a souls game is campaign time, but a good portion of the life that goes into it is pvp. And this one's pvp is medicore at best sadly.

The TL:DR for you folks is this.

People are greedy cunts. Don't take everything you see at face value. This particular industry, like many others, is broken, and if anything is to be done about it, all you have to do is stand up.

Boy do I enjoy not being wrapped up in all the internet bullshit I just watched. Keep things like a snowglobe folks.

I'm seriously bummed out that Dark Souls II seems like a side project for From while they work on Bloodborne. Souls II is still a damn solid game...... but it was missing something special.

And it seems like that special experience has showed up in Bloodborne.
