Try not to overexert yourself though. Don't want to end up getting sick again.

Fuck that over exertion! I set up a 12 foot tall 10 foot wide garage door and moved three lumber piles of 2x8s!

And I'm gonna do it again tomorrow.

Calling you ignorant isn't an attack on your character in any way whatsoever; it's merely an observation as to your apparent "intellectual deficit" when it comes to the issue. It's essentially equal to me getting flustered if you said I was ignorant about guns.

If I said "Kinder demonstrates his shitflinging retardation and general sperglordyness" then it'd be a personal attack. But if you're going to claim suicidal people are cowards, I don't see how calling you ignorant is any worse or, regardless, an insult in the first place.

Quote
no attacking others
Oh, it is an attack. Calling a person ignorant IS attacking the character. Attack the argument, not the person. Stay mad

Not exactly. It's not a crime to be ignorant to something. There's nothing bad implied by the word that most people associate with it. The point is, we're all people. But we just don't know everything. And we often say stuff on subjects we don't have the best grasp on.

For instance, if I were to go into a full blown discussion of politics with Meta, it would be a mess. I watch and keep up with political events, but if I had a discussion with him, it would be his side, which he obviously knows his shit, and my side, a guy who not only gives a flying frack about politics, but can and has made assumptions based off my rather simple world view.

I'm ignorant to politics. Doesn't mean it's a bad thing. I'm just not educated in that field. Which is why for the most part I keep my trap shut when it comes to that sort of stuff.

Ignorance isn't an insult. It's something all of us have in one field or another.

Thoughts: Suicidal thoughts, I believe in general, cross everybody's mind at points in their life. Everybody has them. They look at things, and they falter in their resolve at what's coming. Some of them, can brush them off. Others can't. And it's a shame. But I don't blame any of them. Sometimes you just look at it all, and how can you not just want to give up?

Cowards way: No. It has nothing to do with cowardice. Being depressed alters your mental state. The world turns a shade of grey, and you lose focus. Your view expands to everything around you, but it's all the same shade of colour. Living in that void, death becomes a song. It's a call. It's the only thing left that's not a soulless shade of grey, ironically, even though it's a consuming blackness.

Know anybody?: Myself. I was a couple of days away from jumping off my town's radio tower. My Mother's sister at a young age. One of my Sister's friends. I made it through. The others didn't.

Help/Services: I think, there's an emphasis. And a good one at that. But the real problem is, getting people to listen. When you're depressed, you push everything away.Self help phonelines won't do jack shit if someone depressed doesn't use them.

And that's the problem. I pulled myself out of my depression alone. Never once did I call a self help line, even though I knew they were out there. I didn't want to. I didn't feel like it would do anything.

And that problem, isn't easy to fix. Getting a message through to people in such a state isn't easy. And that's what needs to be worked on.

Happens with every release. Those media people/ mediocre game reviewers/lets play-ers get it early. I feel your pain Mr. Admirals. Especially when the new lore related content is the cherry on top.
These can't be reviewers. I know them, they're popular members on Waypoint. Which is what twists the knife for me. These guys are supposed to be upstanding.

Then take a roadtrip to Wisconson, hang out with me, and buy all the shit on the way back.

But the Snail requires 1000 dollars for 800 miles on the road! I could buy my own damn house by the time I got over to you. And, naturally, at the moment, I'm basically broke. That helps too.

Voting does not matter and has not for quite a while.
Voting matters on state/local issues that affect you more directly.

It's true. Local issues like your city council, taxes, etc, have more of a direct affect on you than national things.

This is true. But the voting part isn't. Fucking hell is it ever pointless. Always has been, always will be.
Your vote carries a lot more weight on local issues. It's hardly pointless.

Tell that to all the bullshit changes and regulations made in this town by the governing body in the area that my one little vote didn't stop.

God dammit. All this stuff that I'll never be able to have. WHY U SO EXPENSIVE XBOX JUAN.
I hear ya.

To put things in perspective, after I bought an xbox juan, and all the neccessary accessories to go with it along with the MCC, and a new TV since the Juan has the lovely new modern ports that only work on newer TVs, I'd be looking at somewhere between 3000 dollars. The Juan and accessories and MCC would be about 800-900 bucks in total, and a new TV would eat a big fucking chunk of money.

It's funny actually. I bought a 25 foot long motor home in basically brand fucking new working condition with a little bit of hiccups to work on, for 1200 bucks.

A fucking xbox and a tv are worth more than a 25 foot long mobile house box that you could make a life for yourself in.
Why would it be so expensive though? Xbox One at 399$, MCC at 60$, TV at 300-400$.

Canada. Xbox Juan at 499$ Taxes make that something like 560$. 60 dollar game? Lol give me a break. That shit's 70 by default and then 85 something after the taxes. A semi decent, quality TV that's not a piece of shit? Over a 1000 dollars. And all the other little bits and bobs add up too.
Strange. I live in Belgium, a country infamous for its high taxes, and all of that wouldn't be that expensive to me. I got my TV for the equivalent of a few hundred dollars.

By default, Canada always pays more or double what the states do.
No opportunity to buy things online and have them sent across the border? Or do customs fee come into play then?

Dem fucking shipping fees doe. You can't win no matter what approach you take. So, I'll just have to wait.

Aren't you happy I've started putting five bucks a day away now?
The "save sep7agon fund" project is officially a go?

No. But ever since this ruckus started, I've been putting five bucks a day away in case Cheat has to open up for donations.

There isn't a fuckin' chance in hell I'd let this place sink, not if I had it in me to stop it. So, if things hit the fan, and donations are needed, it won't hit the fan for very long.
You're a good man. If it were to come to the point that donations were necessary to save the site, I doubt many would contribute as much as you would.

I have to think about what this place means to me. Because it does mean something.

I walk a very fine line, borderline, technologically dumb hermit, and technolgy addicted regular person. A middle ground. I avoid social networking sites for the most part, and all the other technology based addictions and distractions. I don't text, have no cell phone, don't watch TV, and aren't abosrbed completely into a computer screen all day.

So this site, this one place, has always been my internet home. I have nowhere else to go that I would feel comfortable with. And I'm sentimental. I've made friends here. Had good moments with people. Learned new stories, new perspectives. I get a portion of my news on events in the world here.

This is my true home for everything internet related. And although it isn't the place I originally started in, Bungie has gone down a road that goes against everything I stand against. Social media and the pushing of products. Their site used to be a place for more than just a video game. You could do more than just talk and discuss their video game.

I mean, I've met artists. Muscicians. Hell, even a fucking glass blower. Do you know how much of a dying art glass blowing is? And on a gaming site, of all the fucking places, I met one. I've met different people from across the world all with different stories to tell, and new outlooks for me to study.

This place has given me so much. And I owe a debt for what has been given. So I will not let it sink. And I have the ability to keep it going if it's going under. I have the ability to help, to do something. So long as this place is alive and well, then I will stand up for it because I owe a debt for what's been given to me here.

If this light goes out, then I go out with it. So I will repay my debts to what I've been given here over the years, and if I can help to keep what this place is to me alive and well, then no matter how poor I am, I will find money to keep it going, because it's worth it, and money well spent.

So how much so far? $15 since 3 days ago? =/

25 if you count my generosity of couch change I dug up. If I remember right, One week of of five bucks from me every day would keep this place roughly funded for about half a month I believe.
