I'll have an explanation up in a little bit, but I need you do do a few things for me.
Go into your profile and select Modify Profile >> Notifications. Unnotify yourselves of anything in there. Anything.
I believe I have sufficiently sabotaged the file that sends emails out for notifications, but it's always good to be thorough. You should also be unable to notify yourself of any more topics. Let me know if that's not the case, please.
And PLEASE let me know if you get any more emails AT ALL from this forum.
Thanks.
UPDATE: I've gone through the memberlist and removed all notifications from all members. This shouldn't happen again.

This has been brought up more than once and there have been some differing opinions, so I am trying to see where we stand on the decision as a whole. Feel free to leave your comments below as well.

You can now like and unlike stuff. Everybody can see this, right? This mod was a bitch to install, so I don't doubt there are some problems.
EDIT: The notification mod and the like mod are not currently communicating, so don't go expecting likes to pop up.

Ok, here are your top picks (selected from your thread and a few PMs I received), so vote away. The poll lasts for a day and you can change your vote as many times as you wish, but results will be hidden until it's over.
This is also not the be-all, end-all decision. I will strongly, strongly consider the top two choices as the next moderators, but at the end of the day I need trustworthy and reliable mods.
I've also excluded top choices that haven't registered yet. If they aren't here, they can't moderate very well, I'd wager.
Go forth and vote.

I am aware the site shutdown from too many database requests. I am in the process of fixing the issue.

I had no idea that this forum would be such a hit. I am mildly overwhelmed and am in need of some mods to keep the peace. I realize that we don't really have a formal 'rules' thread up yet, but that's next on my very long list. Now, I wasn't really around much in the other offsite forum. I mostly lurked near the end of its life. But I do understand that there was some sort of horrible shit that went down with the mods and a few members. I don't give a shit about that. I care about the here and now and what goes on in this forum. So I think the fairest way to do this is to nominate members for mod status. Right now we only need about two of them, but that may change down the road. So please either comment here with someone's name or send me a PM. Later on tonight I'll set up a poll and you can vote on it. Is that cool with you guys? EDIT: nevermind, I just saw the thread that was created. Go here and nominate: http://sep7agon.net/index.php?topic=28.0

I just finished coding the signatures; you may find them familiar . To see them, click on a user's name or that snazzy arrow to the left of it. To close the sig, click the arrow or the name again. To add/edit a signature, go to your profile >> forum profile >> edit signature. Bold, italic, strikethrough, underline, and urls are allowed. Everything else isn't. That means no images. Remember, this is still very much fresh code and there may be bugs. Please report them here or in the support forum. Thanks very much.

I'm laughing on the inside right now. The second offsite flood forum the community set up just got shredded by proboards. Check it out: http://flood.freeforums.net/

I think this is a pretty good way to kick off the pre-pre-release of the forums, so I'm asking you: What do you want out of this forum?
What kinds of different forums do you want? Are the ones we have enough? What about the sort of rules you want to abide by? We're not bound down by Proboards' own rules, so we could do pretty much anything.
Post here and let us know. I'm not saying everything will get added or updated -- this isn't anarchists anonymous -- but it's a damn good way to get your ideas heard.
Go!

I just recently bought a 3DS and got Pokemon Y, and man is it sort of addicting. The newer games aren't nearly as difficult to play through as the previous gens (1 through 4, I mean), but the online trading and battling is way better than on the DS games.
So I suppose if you'd like to trade or battle, post your friend code on here. I'll put mine up later when I have time.

The forum is very close to being complete, but we know it's still a bit unstable. That's what you're here for! So register, take a look around, poke and prod at everything. You can report bugs here or in the support forum as its own thread. Both are fine. Also, since we're in the early stages of the forum's life cycle, there isn't a set rulebook yet. That'll be added in later, so for now I suggest that you use your best judgement when creating a thread. I haven't tested out these cool ban powers yet, but I'd be willing to give it a try if bad shit goes down. Edit: signatures are currently disabled, but will soon be activated and moved to the familiar text-only, dropdown sigs from the old Bnet.

It's the alpha stage, so yeah, things are going to get weird. Don't panic! Just make a thread or post in this one and let us know what you were doing and what the glitch was. Screenshots are ALWAYS helpful. Stuff we're aware of: - The top nav breaks if the screen gets too small
- The avatar list is very sucky
