You think a GTA game that goes back to Vice City will do well?

I see it ended up like GTA 3, Vice City and GTA 4 where there isn't much to do because of the location. With San Andreas and GTA 5 there's a little more variety since the lactation of the game has different environments to it. With Vice City it's all just city so there's not much of a variety environment wise because of that. The reason why I think Vice City was received well to the fans is because of the atmosphere of the game and the theme to it. The atmosphere does have an interesting 80's feeling to it. I do love that RockStar created a band just for that game. Then for the theme it's somewhat based off of Scarface. A newer game I think wouldn't do as well since Vice City is more of a atmosphere and theme based game then anything else.

Maybe a game that is set to Vice City and Florida would be interesting. Miami is such a huge city, and its further urbanization really changed it from the 1980's skyline. From the beaches to the Everglades national park, I think it could match, if not improve on the ideas that were applied in GTA V.

However, I think character design and the story should be less like the one from GTA V, but something closer to San Andreas, but building around improving the experience of playing as CJ. (Someone who came back home, only to be met with death of friends, and relatives and built their way up)

Perhaps, an ex-convict who in their teens were put in jail for drug trafficking or some other sentence and they are released out of prison, whilst trying to find their old friends, establish connections, meeting relatives and struggling between a restrained personality and a full-blown psychopath that the player has control over.

emigrate or degenerate. the choice is yours
A GTA game that deviates away from the "distorted vision of the American dream" parables would be a decent change for once. It's getting a bit stale at this point.

I'd really like to see a GTA game that echoes the themes of Killing Them Softly. A Detroit esque city amidst the backdrop of the 08 recession where the protagonist you play as just wants to survive by any means necessary, whilst keeping in touch with the satirical and humorous quirkiness that the previous GTA had to keep it from getting too grimdark.

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
As far as I'm concerned, Vice City was just as popular as San Andreas was back in the day. More than likely Vice City will be the setting of the next installment.

If not Vice City then it should be Las Venturas.

I think a GTA game about a corrupt law enforcement person would be interesting. Hell a game that takes place outside the US would be a change of pace. Like a game that takes place in Russia during the 50'-60's or right after the collapse of the SU.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
I like mordos idea about being in detroit and so on so on

I didn't give a shit about GTA V's single player. I watched all the cut scenes but I didn't get really spend time getting invested in it. It was still fun though. I can see Vice city being better than another Liberty city, holy shit I really don't like the New York setting.
