My refurb x1 came with a huge sticker. Ripped it off and had a huge residue patch. I tried peanut butter, scrubbing, rubbing alcohol, and I ended up taking off some the finish. If it really bothers you, get a vinyl sticker to put over it. I got a black/gray vinyl cover to put over the box and it looks great and its been on for 7 months now. If you put it on right (and get a clean design) they look great.
