It's a geek xD culture game. Like Zelda (but not as good) it's a good game, but the meme spouting and "fanbase" around it are intolerable.

People cream their pants over Valve in general.I loathe everything they've ever made. I've been meaning to try Half-Life, though.
I'm not going to like Half-Life, at all. lolI'm only in it for the story.
The thing about Portal was that it only made you feel good whenever you passed a test or whatever. You felt smart after passing that one room you spent an hour trying to figure out (unless you looked it up, in which case, you're a dumbass moron loser pants). But those were the only times it was fun for me.The game ITSELF wasn't fun. It just felt good when you were done with it.To me, that's not what a good game is!
You spent over an hour trying to figure out one of the rooms?
But Verb, doesn't your complaint about Portal's brand of fun extend to puzzles in general? That's how most are anyway.
and you're just desperately grasping for straws just to insult me
I'd describe Tetris as being an actively constructed puzzle, where as most puzzles (especially physical ones) are passive or preconstructed. The preconstructed puzzles, such as the Tower of Hanoi (which I absolutely loathe), are all about the destination. Active puzzles are about the journey.Tetris has always made me anxious, there's no real winning or solving it. You just see how long it takes you to lose.

Half life is mediocre as hell. Portal is okay... Left 4 Dead was my favourite zombie game
hyperbole, huhplay MM, scrub
you're implying it differs from OoT in any way except atmosphere.
