I don't have a next gen console either.

I'm neutral on this, and thus I wonder why people buy things when they can buy better things for the same price.

You're clearly not neutral, because you made this thread telling people they bought the wrong thing, you dork.

A neutral person wouldn't care what platform someone plays on because they aren't retarded and don't care about petty shit like this.

Simplicity? Please elaborate

Consoles have a more integrated and consistent online experience because it's all organized through the dashboard rather than the game menu itself. Clans, messaging, and parties are all much easier on consoles.

Simplicity means you buy a game and it just works. Maybe occasionally there's some software issue, but unlike a PC game which you can expect to crash every now and then regardless of your specs, it's entirely plug and play. No compatibility troubleshooting, no remapping control settings, no optimizing graphical or audio settings.

Though I own next gen consoles and a high end PC, I really only do it for exclusives. I gave up online years ago.

sure you can build A computer for 350 dollars. Not a great computer. You won't be running anything graphically intensive with on the best settings. And you'll have to upgrade it sometime in the next 10 years.
And consoles are infinitely more simple. I walked into the store, bought it, took it home and plugged it in, popped a disc in and played. When I wanted to I put it in a backpack and took it to my girlfriends house and did the same thing. I never have to upgrade or worry if my OS or gpu isn't supported with a game I want.

Show me  a pre built PC I can fit in my backpack, will never have to upgrade in the next 10 years, can play every game that comes out, that costs $350 dollars. Make sure it has a blu Ray drive and a controller too

PC and console appeal to different people for different reasons

No I didn't.

What kind of point is that?
A neutral person would care what platform one plays on, because if you have a red fruit and a blue fruit you would want to know which one tastes the best. I like the red one because it's the most nutritional and good tasting, but the blue one doesn't have seeds.

I'm neutral as in I have nothing, but am presented with two choices, and I'm leaning towards the best one. You normally go for the best one, even when neutral.

I get the laziness of you people. You just want to play a game, and that's it. But then why bother with the current gen? Why not go back to xbox 360 and ps3? You only switch because of the games, that's why.

A person that just wants to play games doesn't think to maximize the qualities that our time has to offer. A person who doesn't upgrade in 10 years is going to be on the same level as before (unless stuff breaks), and that's just for lazy people.

In some decades PC gaming and console gaming will be rendered obsolete as VR will become a thing, but for now you will want to get the best of a system, even if it means spending time on it.

it's not laziness. Gaming is a hobby. Most play it to relieve stress. I don't want to worry about it. After a long day at work, or doing yard work, or even college classes, I don't want to worry about if my games are going to crash, if I need to upgrade it to play the witcher 4, etc etc. It's not laziness it's user friendliness. And of course it's for the games dipshit. It's a fucking game console. There's literally no other reason to buy a game console and there never has been...

What the fuck are you even talking about regular ding VR?

A $350 PC isn't that great, nor is it objectively the best choice for gaming.
It won't run games in a stable manner, it won't run games at settings that top end PCs do. You'll be getting a very small performance advantage over a *current gen console at best.

The best option from a performance standpoint would be a top end PC with the latest line of GPUs. But even then, performance isn't the only factor. There's the games, what your friends play on, your circumstances (do you travel, do you have space etc). The list of variables goes on.

Performance isn't the only thing that matters.

Oh right, I forgot that consoles cost so much more in Sweden.

They cost about $100 more.

That's just your point of view. Gaming can be so much more than to be defined as "just a hobby". It brings you into a fantasy world where you get to experience the story of that world as a player. It let's you use your cognitive skills to best your opponents, or friends.

When you buy a console for the sake of new games being available only to those standrads, you're doing what PC users do when they upgrade to be able to play better games, at better settings. With that said, I want to point out that gaming consoles aren't 100% about simplicity. Of course they aren't you say, but you're making them out to sound like there's a big difference, when in reality that big difference isn't that big.

You can also come home from work and play on your pc, that's not a console exclusive. It's not like you have to download the games you've bought all over again, or to reboot your computer. Don't give me the straight-out-of-disc bullshit, because that's a once a blue moon thing. Once you've set up your stuff, you'll rarely have to go through a lot of trouble.

Turn your brain on
I know, right? People who think the consoles are more "simple" aren't using their brains.
smh
sure you can build A computer for 350 dollars.

Also you still haven't shown me the PC I asked you to build
That's just your point of view. Gaming can be so much more than to be defined as "just a hobby". It brings you into a fantasy world where you get to experience the story of that world as a player. It let's you use your cognitive skills to best your opponents, or friends
you're so fucking gay
I fight fire with fire
did you just admit to being a flaming homosexual
and if I did? It beats being a furry
I'm not a furry good try though lol you basically just did again
