What I mean is that in the pilot they had a scene where Pike enters this castle and fights this fantasy like creature. Even though the pilot is for a sci-fi TV show they had a fantasy setting to it for a scene. So basically what if Destiny was like that? Instead it of being some generic sci-fi game that looks like something you already played before. It's a hybrid of the two. So the game would have something like that castle but it has a sci-fi twist to it. It would look kinda like a castle version of Coruscant. For the creatures they are fantasy like but they have weapons like pikes which fire plasma. And for the magic it would be like how mass effect handles it. Would a game like that done far better and be received a lot better since something like this would be different and would require more thought put into it?

That's what I was hoping for years ago. A sci fi fantasy game. Instead we got a CoD clone. In fact, I throughly enjoyed the CoD story more than Destiny.

When I seen the concept art to the game I was thinking it was going to be like that. Concept or not this image is implying that the game is going to have sci-fi and fantasy elements to it. They look like knights wearing power armor and there's the tiger thing which looks fantasy as well. That guys weapon looks like a rifle version of a decorated sword.

I haven't even played Destiny yet but everything I've seen and heard about it sounds very underwhelming. It could have been so much more, but you don't spend that much money on a game just to make something that hasn't been done before.

That's how it was intended to be, just look at the concept art. Giant frogs, robbed figures in swamps, tigers....

Concept art is so much more interesting than the final game. I know that can be said for almost every game, but it is especially true with Destiny.

That image was the very foundation of that game during the initial development. During a panel I watched, Joe Staten said it captured everything they wanted to have in Destiny.
........wow things got screwed up.

I can see how it captured what they wanted with the game. There's the ship and armor which is sci-fi and they look like knights and there's the tiger which is fantasy. The image just gives you a feeling that the game is going to be about exploration due to the ship and the women with the binoculars.

Then there's these two images which have a very strong fantasy environment to them. It would be bad ass playing in that fantasy environment with your sci-fi gear. For those goblins I think it would be cool if their weapons fired plasma shots at you to give it that sci-fi feel.
Then there's this image that's just simply badass. Imagine exploring this planets and seeing those things driving around.
